Date: 6.12.24

PAX: Drip, Spicoli, Wobegon, Frostbite, Sweet Spot, Lincoln, Frank and Beans, Burns

Schlitzy needed a sub so I took him up on it. BOLO for a future Schlitz Q on 9/18.

Frostbite reached out about doing a EC run through the Crossnore trails for some Ragnar training. 3.5 miles, excellent warm-up for the beatdown to follow.

Despite my not-so-encouraging preblast, seven other HIM joined YHC in the gloom for the following:

WoR: Abe Vs, Whirlies, ISTs, 10 Burpees, Electric Chairs, OH Claps, Michael Phelps.

Mosey to the base of Brookstown for ALARMS: The routine is as follows – Abs, Legs, Arms, Run, Merkins, Squats. In keeping with the true acronym, we did American Hammers, Lunges, and Alternating Shoulder Taps, then Run up one block, followed by Merkins and Squats.

Stop 1: Base. 10 of each ALA, Run to Carolina, 10 of each MS, 10 count catch your breath.

Stop 2: Carolina. 15 of each ALA, Run to Jersey, 15 of each MS, 10 count catch your breath.

Stop 3: Jersey. 20 of each ALA, Run to 5th, 20 of each MS, 10 count catch your breath.

Stop 4: 5th. 5 of each ALA, Run to 4th, 5 of each MS, 10 count to catch your breath. Something was wrong with the weinke…I could have swore I wrote 25 but I think the 2 got smudged by my sweat or something… #benevolentQ

Mosey over a block and back down the Intimidator. Stop at every intersection – 6 total – and do 5 burpees. Wind up at the playground and partner up by the swing set. Partner A does Inverted Rows on the swings until maxed out while Partner B does Electric Chairs. Flapjack and repeato until 200 rows collectively.

Long mosey back to launch for Mary: Freddie Mercs, Low Dollys, Muttons L & R, H2H, and Toot’s 11 merkins w/planks.

NMM: Great to meet Sweet Spot. Is it me or have we added some new guys recently who just get after it?? Love to see new faces, love watching guys #accelerate. Lincoln and Spicoli were leading the charge up Brookstown. Wobegon had no quit on the swingset. Frostbite was unsuccessful in his attempt to wear me out on our EC run, but he also ran the EC mile with F&B after the beatdown! Speaking of F&B, the dude is an impeccable site Q. Encouraging and always present, love posting with you! Drip was complimentary of both the beatdown and my #SummerStache. Wonderful group this morning, great weather, lots of sweat angels post-mary means we got after it! AND we got brand new hot-off-the-press Conspiracy stickers courtesy of Adobe! They are legit! Post next week to get yours.

Announcements: Samaritan Ministries opportunities coming up. July 4th Convergence at TRQ – 2.0s & FiA, too! Lunch Bunch Friday at Bailey Park.

CoT: Lots of sad news today. Lincoln had a family friend lose a younger sibling this week. F&B has a family friend recently diagnosed with stage 4 leukemia. YHC’s close friend lost his father last night to Parkinson’s disease. YHC took us out with a heavy heart, thankful for the opportunity to lead and asking for guidance and direction to best serve those around us.

Beans – thanks for the keys. I think somehow Schlitz owes us both beer.

You are right about @Frank&Beans being a solid Site Q. He and @Adobe made some sweet Conspiracy-themed stickers that I will be rocking!

Strong work today, Burnsy! That pre-run was a great way to start the early morning.
