The super pleasant mornings are numbered, but this was one of them. Six PAX met early for and EC jaunt… Bevo, Five Dollar Footlong, Lamb Chop, Burns, Dr. Toot, and Turnover.
After a Spicoli lap around the parking lot with various stretchy stretches and heart thumpers, we were off to the parking deck for…
THE THANG: Deconstructed burpups, eight to be exact. So 8 pull ups, 8 failure to launches(my new nut punch), 8 in and outs, 8 boot strap squats, and then 8 burp ups. We moseyed up the deck and at the five levels did 20 merkins. The beautiful sunrise and fresh air greeted us at the top for Mary and 20 merkins. Leaving the deck for the upper reflecting pool at Corpening Plaza for a new variation of the Seven Layers of Dip. Introducing the Pike Derkin to help all those who cheat the Carolina Dry Dock. L leg and R leg step ups, derkins, potty squatties made up our seven layers. Time to hit the square for Four Corners of 11 burpees at each corner. Next to the Nine Column stack of escalating merkins with Bear Crawl to get to each column. Back to launch for Mary which had lots of Alabama Prom Dates and Monkey humpers ending with the Eleven. PAX were adequately shwitzed and let me know. Mission accomplished.
COT: Inspector has a close friend with relationship challenges. Bevo is dealing with extensive kitchen renovations that are impacting the large family that is the Bevo Clan. Turnover’s brother’s wife is having a challenging pregnancy. Heartfelt prayers over these items and an appreciation for the rare collection of humans that make up this PAX, we are able and willing to do great and difficult things on behalf of each other with no thought to the personal sacrifice.
MNM: Inspector has quickly become a true HIM in no time, an alpha that brings every one up to his level, leaves no one behind, funny, and LEADS. Wahoo wont quit and is twice as good as he was last week. Wont be long now. Five Dollar is regaining his form, proud of him. Lamb Chop is way too good at his day job, can’t keep him down. Bevo, Turnover, and Burnsie are the gazelles out front. Chick Flick manages the entire beatdown and his hair never gets mussed.
