Well….Needless to say; it’s been a week. My wife, daughters and dogs were all out of town. Coming home from work to a dark, quiet, empty house…..You PAX have no idea how much it meant all week to show up in the mornings and you guys were there. Thank you. Thank you for posting. Thank you for being there. Thank you for giving it your all each day. #MoreThanAWorkout.

This little diddy was something I wanted to do a while back. I LOVE football and a theme to a lot of the workouts this week were centered around that and #gridiron kind of things. This was a culmination of those shenanigans.

And long story short. X-Clown, the play that got the Panthers to the NFC Championship game in 03-04 season, that’s what inspired me. If you want to discuss more….I’m available.

Warm-O-Rama:

We lost a few PAX after they completed Supermax….and I was starting to worry a little. Would we have enough “players” to make this beatdown make sense? When it was all said and done, 10 men showed up and that would be a perfect split. Let us begin.

Mission Statement, 5CP.

Normal routine here with SSH, IST, Abe V, Whirly, Leg stretch….L&R. Enough time wasters.. Mosey and grab some blocks.

The THANG:

This beatown was going to be a lot of pain with the promise of a little bit of pleasure at the end. A chance to relive some past “days of football glory” that we all may have experienced earlier in life.

Round 1:

There was a little Omaha on the overall gameplan…but it ended up working out perfectly, timewise.

The first part…we split into two teams of 5 on 5.

1 Pax would do the “movement” portion, while the other teammates would do the called exercise. Once the “movement” PAX finished came back, tag the next guy. Once all PAX completed the movement, the round was done.

Movements: Bear Crawl to the first cone and back, Broad Jump to the first cone and back, Backward run to the 2nd cone and back.

Exercises: 10 merkins, 20 squats, 30 WWII’s, 40 LBC’s.

Round 2:

Same format…teams.
1 Pax does 10 Pull-Ups…all other PAX does the called exercises.

Pullups…and 10 Apollo Onos, 20 Jungle Boi Squats, 30 Freddy Mercs.

Round 3:

Curls Gone Wild.

All PAX on a team must complete 100 Curls each. First team to finish all 100 as a team wins.

Round 4:

Tunnel of Love.

Kinda like an Indian Run…except all PAX hold HIGH HIGH plank, while the PAX at the end crawls under. Did this a couple of times from the beginning of the parking lot, to the pull up bars. Cruiser made a great call here to do it in the grass VS. what the Q had in mind, of doing it on the gravel.

FINALLY…..

It was time for the fun.

ULTIMATE FOOTBALL!

Up to the top of the hill. Cones already layed out for the endzones.

We chose new teams here and just played football for the remainder of the time. Many penalty burpees were dealt out during his period. If your team gets scored on.. 10 Burpees. If you team gets picked off… 5 Burpees.

No time for Mary…. TIME.

COT:

Announcements:

Adopt a street…right after the beatdown. Check Slack…or just drive to Clemmons Elementary.

Prayers:

Prayers for aging parents.

Prayers for PAX who have lost Dads….family members.

Prayers for all the dads out there.

YHC took us out.

NMM:

Again….thank you guys.

This week was rough and I couldn’t have made it through it without you men. And that goes for each week. This stupid stuff we do, MOST people can’t do this. It’s you guys….the ones who show up, who push, who encourage. That’s how we can do this. That’s life. I thank you……1000 times over.

Lots of great mumblechatter this morning.

I’m sure most PAX wanted to kill the Q this morning. I had a lot of fun. It was TOUGH. Need to get some F3 football going soon. You guys are studs!

Prayers for any current injuries.

Prayers for any unspoken prayers. Prayers for grieving PAX and their families.

Reach out… Slack, text..call. Whatever. We all need each other. Go grab a beer…a coffee. Reach out to your brothers in the Gloom. This stuff we do on any given day of the week is just a small part of it. We were all put here for a reason. We are here to live this life together, to share the load. Leave no man behind.

Adobe-Out.
