Cindy

Date: 7.1.24

PAX: Ludikrous, Root Canal, D-Day (RIRO), Zima (RIRO), Green Acres (RIRO), Schlitz (EC), Palin (EC), Turnover (EC), Rubber Ducky, Van Gogh (EC ½ Murph), Gold Watch, Frank & Beans, Wobegon, Greenspan

A Bevo family trip to Alabama left an opening in the TIT Q-calendar that YHC happily claimed on a wickedly humid morning.

Warmarama:

SSHs, Abe Vigodas, Whirlies, Cherry Pies, Up/Down Dawg Stretches

The Thang

Mosey the long way around the school to the playground.  The weinke said “#Cindy”.  Per the exicon (https://f3nation.com/exicon/entry/2991/?gvid=398721), Cindy is a 20-minute AMRAP.  We extended it to about 35 minutes with minor modifications:

  • Pull-ups x 5
  • Boot-Slap Squats x 10
  • Merkins x 15
  • Heels to Heaven x 20
  • Run a Lap
  • Repeato until Q calls retreat

Mosey home the short way for 3 minutes of Mary.

The End.

Announcements:

  • Thursday, 4th of July Convergence with FiA at Speas Elementary, 0700. Family friendly (Ms, 2.0s).
  • Zima has IS Q 7.20.24 where the next installment of embarrassing pax form will be drone recorded.
  • Samaritan Ministries service opportunities are open for July – December.

Prayer Requests:

  • Aging parents.
  • Turnover’s sister-in-law is having a difficult pregnancy.

NMM:

  • Prior to Turnover’s July Challenge announcement, the workout was going to involve AMRAPs on Archer. You can thank TO now and later.  We still need those mobile pull-up bars, VG.
  • Green Acres and Root Canal are pleased with the July challenge theme and will, no doubt, be among the front runners.
  • Ludikrous rolled in from Tennessee just as we were departing the launch spot. He was keeping Van Gogh company throughout the workout, both going all-out beast mode.
  • YHC was amazed by all of the EC work put in this morning by the pax. Clearly the pax (rightly) didn’t think that YHC would bring a strong enough Q.
    • Zima RIROed from his house and was out front all morning, totaling 8+ miles for the morning. Dude is back at the top of his game.  Speaking of games, The [Token] Game is on for 7.20.24 at Impossible Situation; Zima has monopolized the wood cutter time on campus with all of the new exercises he’s introducing for this iteration.
    • Green Acres and D-Day were seen sprinting down Archer to the launch.
    • Turnover left YHC in the dust and made some ridiculous claim that it was because he didn’t keep to his pre-workout bathroom routine, Palin shared home-buying negotiation strategies, and Schlitz recounted his cruise trip last week with the expected associated hilarity. All that took place in 2.8 miles.
    • Not to be outdone, Van Gogh did a ½ Murph!
  • Frank & Beans and Ducky appeared to enjoy themselves, making light work of the weinke, while Wobegon and Gold Watch put in their customary quiet, solid work.
  • Zima was not challenged enough so he performed hand-release dive bombers instead of regular merkins; it looked…challenging.
  • Schlitz was the only pax who accepted the end-of-workout t-shirt wringing challenge, but that’s probably because everyone recognized that there was no way any of us could match his output. There was a distinct scent of liquor emanating from his sweat.
  • Today was the first time YHC can recall seeing sweat angels on mulch. It was unbelievably humid, but these men were up to the challenge.

Rubber Ducky, thanks for the keys.  They were left in Schlitz’s puddle.

👏 One of my favorite workouts ever! Good stuff and thanks for leading. Have a correction tho’…YHC cannot “sprint”. More like an “old man shuffle” but will keep on shuffling alap 😆. 55 pull-ups!
