I think we’re settling into the cold.  It didn’t feel nearly as shocking this morning as it did the last couple of Mondays.  We’ll look back on mornings like this in July and say crazy things like, “I can’t wait for winter”.

Announcements:

Prayer Requests:

  • LC and Schlitz both trying to add to their families.
  • LC’s father is having a biopsy this week.
  • YHC took us out with gratitude for the day, the men of F3, and our lives & opportunity to make a difference in others’ lives.

NMM:

  • ~0 – 2.25 miles covered in the bus lot this morning by the pax.
  • Schlitz texted at 0441 to ask if YHC wanted his speaker. Yes, so much so that YHC got one for Christmas!
  • Lamb Chop and Palin were the first to arrive, and the three of us began wondering if we would be it for this morning. Not to fear, Drip came in with the parking lot’s second Volvo followed by four-wheel drivers Frost Bite and Schlitz.  With the bell striking 0530, we got going.
  • Ziggy and Tonka, crutches in tow, joined us after we arrived at the bus lot. Ziggy said, “We got stuck in the snow.”  Glad they had the crutches to dig themselves out.
  • Tonka is still rehabbing his injury but made everything look easy on one-leg.
  • Palin was fresh from a week in the Dominican with his M and 2.0. He was very   He shared how he was in the pool on Saturday and in the snow on Sunday, which was a first for him.
  • The big snowman at Redeemer was a topic of conversation, as was the annexation of Greenland, a continued favorite subject of YHC’s.
  • Lamb Chop was not there to talk this morning, and he proceeded to leave the rest of us in the dust. Fortunately, YHC had brought a second weinke, the Archer interval version, briefly providing guidance to LC.  YHC thinks he finished that one too.
  • YHC and LC made sure to kick the mountain of ice/snow each time down to the opposite end of the lot so as to help make WSFCS more likely to hold school at some point this week.
  • Drip and Ziggy went about their business without any hubbub as well, making easy work of the weinke. Drip was especially excited about 40 dive bombers.
  • Frosty was kind enough to carry the speaker back to the launch while Wild, Wild West was playing, boom-box-on-your-shoulder-style. He had the impertinence to ask “this is your generation, right?”

Thanks Ducky for the keys.  Will leave them at the ice gate of your pond for you to retrieve.
