20x25v4
QIC: Van Gogh
Date: 03/12/2025
PAX: @Schlitz, @Palin, @Five Dollar Footlong, @Zesty (WB, happy birthday yesterday!), @Drip (WD), @van.gogh (QIC)
When Frank&Beans contacted YHC on Sunday (what a great Site Q!) about Qing today, immediately I knew the intimidator was going to be the focus. Maybe it’s because I’m still reeling from the Toughest Mile on Track from Rubber Ducky’s IS beatdown at the start of the month… or maybe it’s because it’s because it’s the crown jewel of the Hanes Park AO… or maybe it’s because YHC knows running up hills isn’t as easy as it used to be? Regardless, the initial idea, grew into a solidified plan, and we did infact stay there for the entire beatdown. The next planning phase revolved around making it a 20×25 beatdown. Should be easy to plan, not easy to do.
For those who don’t know, the challenge from YHC this year has been dubbed “20×25”, with 20 sets of 25 reps. There will be at least 10 throughout the year. There will be a cool prize for those who attend 3 or more this year. This was the fourth iteration.

NMM:
- Footy did some EC beforehand, not sure what or where, but he was warm and ready to go.
- Schlitz and Palin were also running in before the beatdown – we only used our legs the entire time running up and down the intimidator – so I don’t think they regretted that decision at all.
- With three of the present PAX having done EC< it put YHC in a #flatline-esque mood, so after the Mission Statement and Core-Principles were given, we ran straight over to the Intimidator to get started.
- We got in our 25×20=500 reps, plus 2.3 miles up and down the Intimidator today. We skipped a set of American Hammers, and almost missed the 20th set if it weren’t for a unionizing Monkey Humper with the 6 toward the end. Crisis averted.
- Glad that Footy was keeping an eye out, because Zesty rolled in about 1 minute after left. Footy got his attention and got him over to us so he could enjoy the beatdown.
- BTW, love the new nickname Palin was using for $5 Footlong, of Footy, versus $5 as YHC previously used.
- A freshly turned 32-year-old Zesty jumped right in and didn’t slow down the entire morning. He has his VQ NEXT WEEK and is definitely ready. He did not seem to enjoy spending the whole time on the Intimidator, so hopefully his VQ uses the AO better than YHC did today.
- Good talking with Schlitz running up and down the intimidator. YHC talked with him about making mistakes, and the importance of knowing when we make them. Something YHC still struggles with, but this group has a good way about it of helping YHC see my own flaws more clearly and owning my mistakes.
- We then talked about how Quadraphelia, followed by Monkey Humpers, and then running down hill made us feel like toddlers on the verge of falling down.
- An outdoor cat scared Palin. Scared him good. He still didn’t scream though. Then a car drove by and the PAX expressed concern for the cat. Palin showed zero concern after saying the cat gained an extra life from him.
- Footy then started a conversation of whether that implied Palin was a cat with multiple lives? It got weird for a second… but it does lead YHC to point out that Footy has really turned it on here lately. Posting a ton, potentially starting a new AO, and really upping his game. He might even be joining an Ultra team at the Ragnar?!? Well done, sir!
- Drip posted to High Life last night, and posted less than 12 hours later at Conspiracy. Was bummed not to join him and Trickle last night, but sounded like it was a good Father/Son workout.
- Drip’s knee brace only works moving forward, not in reverse. He just huffed it up the good old fashioned way.
To the AO’s amazing Site Q, Frank and Beans, thank you for the heads up nice and early so YHC could plan. This inspired YHC to reach out to Inspector Gadget for his Q yesterday. You are role model PAX, and I hope to see you soon, sir! Keys are hidden under the left most porta potty in the parking lot when facing the Y.
