420 Ladders
QIC: Van Gogh
Date: 11/30/2019
PAX: Zima, Palin, H.O.G., Sac, Boo Boo, 420 (WB), Drip (WD), Van Gogh (QIC)
While YHC was looking for a sub last week, @Whirly reached out with an offer not too long after one had been found. His M informed him he would not be Qing, let alone posting on Saturday… so even though a trade was no longer needed, YHC offered to take the reigns. The plan all along was to so a very similar beatdown to #Conspiracy, much to the dismay of @Palin and @Sac, who both posted Wednesday.

NMM
- 1.5 miles traveled this morning. 136 monkey humpers, 136 (SC) Lunge Walks, 136 HR Merkins, 136 (SC) Crab Walks, and “only” 78 Broadjump Burpees and (DC) American Hammers.
- All during Warmorama, @Booboo was running back and forth between his car and the Y “looking for 420”. Many of us wondered if this was a person coming to F3 or not?
- When @Booboo showed up midway through the first ladder, we assumed it was NOT a person.
- @Zima, still bitter about the Qutiny a few weeks ago, was discussing it again with @Drip…
- As we arrived at the track, @Palin said, “We’re not doing those stupid trains again are we?” YHC just laughed in response.
- It became apparent that @Palin and @Sac, who did something very similar on Wednesday, were going to be trouble today, as they spent a lot of time hanging out at the back talking. I think they were using the @Thistle approach.
- From the back, discussion on all the injuries occurring at #Mayhem, including @RootCanal’s, led to shade thrown at @HOG, who owned up to that Q and using the hill. But he also said no PAX protested, and we all agreed the hill has been used many times. No ill will!
- Just as the first ladder was ending, we learned @420 was indeed a person, visiting from CA whose fiancé’s family is from Winston.
- Our second ladder @Zima was not happy about the call for Crab Walks. He modified with a Bear Crawl and tried to pull it off as it was actually a more accurate representation of how a crab walks… quite possibly true.
- @Palin then began to chime in about how his arm was sore from the TDAP shot he got yesterday (in preparation for his pending 2.0 arrival). We discussed what 3 things it immunizes against: Tetanus, Dyptheria, and Pertussis.
- The PAX asked why 16? Which YHC really just chose because 32 from the Ultra mileage (enter the mcomments on YHC bringing it up again, especially @Palin and @Zima who ran it with YHC last year) was too high, but 16 seemed more achievable.
- @Booboo ran off midway through to go get gloves… admittedly, the track is rougher in the hands than asphalt.
- @HOG made a comment about tall people and our long steps during the Crab Walk… I resemble that comment!
- As the Second ladder was ending, @Booboo returned and was disappointed we were still going at it.
- During our lap after, @Zima again brought to his Qutiny, only this time, threatening to hold one against YHC.
- We then discussed ways to prevent: putting everyone’s watches in a bucket, like preventing drunk driving at a party. Genius!
- The third ladder was horrible, as the rain started coming down harder, and many PAX looked longingly at the exit from the track as we passed by it.
- @Zima reminder YHC of the time, prepping to Qutiny, just as YHC called an Omaha to return to start, after completing only 12 reps.
- In the way back @Palin declared his wrist was starting to hurt from compensating for the sore shoulder… @Drip made a funny comment in reply about “having a sore wrist from over compensating,” but in all seriousness, YHC hope’s it is okay.
- Solid work from the PAX, YHC was glad to Q such a fun and chatty, yet hard working group!
Thanks for giving the keys to @Whirly, @Drip! In the future, you might have to add a disclaimer to PAX so they don’t keep forwarding them on to whomever they please…
