Announcements:
- IS is converging with Purgatory tomorrow; Mutton on Q. Rumor has it that burpees and backwards running may make an appearance.
- Q school is Saturday, 12/14, at 0630 at Hanes Park. Huck will lead, but Van Gogh will pre-record a message on form and the five core principles to be played on a loop for attendees. Zima will demonstrate proper cadence counting unless Schultz appears.
- In addition, on the same day immediately following Q school, Purgatory may converge at IS at 7 with Huck and Zima co-Qing. There’s a sales pitch if I’ve ever seen one.
- In addition, the F3 Christmas party will be the evening of 12/14 at the West Salem Public House!
- The Mt. Tabor UMC Christmas drama will be live tomorrow (Saturday, 12/7/19) at 4 pm with an immediate encore presentation Sunday morning at 9 am. It will be different than any other Christmas play you will see this season. Drama Queen is directing, not acting.
- Lunch Bunch at Little Richards on Stratford started ~1.5 hours ago. Some may still be participating.
Prayer Requests:
- O.G.’s uncle died in a car crash in Alaska on Wednesday. Pray for H.O.G.’s family, particularly his mother.
- HOG’s son suffering from migraines; wisdom for doctors providing diagnoses and treatment.
- Blue Steel’s recovery.
- Root Canal’s recovery.
- Those experiencing loneliness during the holiday season.
NMM:
- A group launched at 0525 for ~5 miles and enjoyed a variety of conversations. The chatter dissipated somewhat when it became apparent that no relief from the ups and downs of the neighborhood hills would be on offer.
- Conversation topics included: the 24-hour Wal-Mart being closed at the one time when one of us needed use its facilities, the contagion among all runners of the same need, YHC’s love of hills (#fake news), whether Sour Mash fartsacked and would still claim credit for being present, Saturday’s Mistletoe Run, Valdez’s ill-advised use of hills around Hanes Park during Tuesday’s Redline, whether we would run on I-40, how running on Lassiter was similar to our expectation of running on I-40, YHC’s inevitable miss of a key turn.
Have a great weekend, brothers.
