WIB returned to the old Sears lower lot this week. Last time YHC led a workout here it was around 25 degrees. Certainly this time it was considered cool for June, but safe to say we didn’t worry about frozen fingertips this time around. All PAX had failed to look at the PreBlast, so none knew we’d be doing Bear Crawls today… lots of mining, unsurprised droning, and some laughing.
The Thang:
In honor of our fallen Sears’ favorite brand, The Craftsman:
- .33 mile loop
- 5 merkins (add 5 per lap)
- Bear Crawl the right side (12 parking spaces)
- 5 Burpees
- Run to other side
- 5 Monkey Humpers (add 5 per lap)
- Lunge Walk the left side (18 parking spaces)
- 5 Burpees
- Repeato For 6 laps.
- Pick up the 6 after lap 3.
COT:
- Prayers for HOGs son who is having surgery on his finger
- YHC took us out, lifting up our nation and asking for a removal of hate and bigotry, and asking to make us better leaders in our homes, workplace, and communities.
NMM:
- PAX completed 6 laps for >2 miles, 1/4 mile of which was bear crawl and a little more than 1/4 mile was Lunge Walking.
- 105 Monkey Humpers, 105 Merkins, 60 Burpees
- Lots of MC at first that slowly faded as the blood started to rush to our heads during bear crawls. Even YHC was dreading it at the end.
- After giving a stamp of disapproval in the first lap, Turnover lead the way most of the morning, surging ahead on the last lap. Of course, he said he was struggling to remember left foot or right foot on the lunges, so he might have cheated.
- Speaking of cheating… Bevo started out as our form police today, instructing YHC to fully extend during Merkins with a maniacal laugh.
- Palin later took over enforcing form, calling out Tarheel after discovering he wasn’t jumping on his Burpee’s. In a moment of hilarity, Tarheel added two, star clap, middle finger waving, burpee’s to make up for it. Classic.
- Greenspan and HOG ran a 1.6 mile EC lap around the mall before we got started… TClaps!
- This morning’s #Respects, Drip and Root Canal, instilled jealousy amongst all the #Hates around them by cruising through each lap with ample MC and smiles in their faces. Their enjoyment of the pain left us all hoping to be like them when we grow up.
- After merging out two former subgroups back together before lap 4, Palin was not happy that the “Fastholes” came and ruined their social distancing while also potentially exposing them to “That Ronis” I think he called it??
- One car watched us for a while before turning and facing the other way… about a minute later a police car parked not too far away.
- YHC was glad to keep burpee’s at 5 each station, Bevo threatened a Qutiny has it increased.
- Monkey Humpers were a crowd pleaser to perform right near the mall circle as cars drove by… no honks though.
- As Greenspan pointed out, there were more cars here at 6am than at 6pm!? People love their McGriddles…
Thanks for the Keys, Burns! We missed you this morning, but YHC really appreciated the reminder yesterday of the Q this morning. Its always an honor to lead such fine men. Until next time, SYITG!
