Opps, I did it again!
QIC: Bevo
Date: 03/03/2021
PAX: Drama Queen, Tweety Bird, Crash, D-Day, High Cotton, Work Bench, Zima, Turn Over, Burlap, Splash, Pony Express, Boomerang, 60 Minutes
As we gathered in the parking lot like we usually do, the Q arrives (in typical fashion) right on time, only to see Pony Express removing his outer layer to reveal a University of Texas sweatshirt. I mentioned how cute that was, and he replied to the rest of the PAX with “I have other shirts if anyone cares to wear one.” After the wardrobe change, we have 4 guys supporting the burnt orange…lucky they are pretty because it was an ugly sight. (JK) I made sure to acknowledge everyone and then remind them who is leading this ride.
Did some SSHs with normal tempo through 20 and 10 more with elevated tempo. Then we moseyed, towards the Hill to Nowhere only to turn at the last minute (wanted to throw some guys off) and headed to the pavilion. When we got there, we finished our warm-a-rama, and partnered up (this was slightly early, but seemed a good time). Of course there was sarcasm as to why we are partnering up when we are doing individual exercises, but I promised they would see the light soon enough. First order, asking the Site Q (Turnover) if he wanted arms or legs first…he said arms. (either answer was the wrong one)
ARMS
Green Sally Up (AKA Flower by Moby) with Dips
Legs
Thunderstruck : Hold squat position for the whole song and jump up when you hear the word “Thunder.”
Mosey to the parking lot…BUT STOP!! As we pass the rock pile, the Q said to get a rock and suggested Medium with a flat side on it. After a few moans because people started to assume…well they were not making an ass our of me today…oh no.
We walk over to the parking lot and partner 1 lines up on one side while partner 2 on the other. Partner 1 will crab walk with the rock in their lap (AKA Pregnant Crab Walk!!!!!!). Partner 2 runs up the Hill to Nowhere while holding their hands above their heads (this was not easy!). Once partner 2 returns, they pick up their rock and walks to where their partner has made it to and they switch.
We ended up Omahaing it as HtN had a good amount of ice so we ran around the park on the path (about the same distance). We managed a total of 3 laps for each partner and a LOT of numb fingers! This took us right up to 6:10 to which we deposited the rocks from where we found them and moseyed to the parking lot where we started this shindig. I then directed everyone to follow me and ran around the small loop of the parking lot for what I am now calling the 60-80-100 Run! We ran at a 60% pace to start out, then picked up on lap two for an 80% pace then the Q yelled “JAILBREAK” for the full out sprint for the third lap.
We Al Gored for about 45 seconds to bring everything to a close.
Solid work from these men, and I will let them add any MC that I missed, due to complaining about my numb fingers, on slack!
Thanks TO, I will borrow the keys again soon…I promise.
[Today’s music was mostly Fall Out Boy from 3 of their best albums….specially picked out for the Site Q]

Burlap
Sucked. That’s what I get for wearing the burnt orange.
Turnover
A few observations: 1) Running up the hill/around the track with arms over head was WAY tougher than I thought it would be. 2) YHC chose very poorly on glove selection…numb fingers is most unpleasant. 3) The eliteness of that playlist cannot be overstated. YHC was singing along the whole time and the worst part of the workout was when I was far away from the speaker. #FOB4Life
