YHC has begun to make it a tradition to Q on YHC’s birthday, so when the Q calendar showed emptiness at BBBC for this Friday, YHC reached out to the Site Q/Mayor of WeFoCo for the opportunity. The only requirement was that we were converging with F3 Mocksville and we needed a centralized location to meet. YHC thought meeting across the street from Bermuda Run would give the EaDaCo crowd a chance to post.
Drano and Sandbox held up their end of the bargain and took off like a flash of lightning for I think 4 miles after Drano’s 4 mile EC. YHC joined Harden, Schneider, and 60 Minutes for a 4 mile route “at an 11 minute pace”, which YHC was also guilty of exceeding, but not to the tune of Harden’s career low PR of basically a 9 minute mile in route to a 9:40 average. Schneider was close behind and then 60 Minutes and YHC lagged behind, still well below the 11 minute pace. All seemed to feel great post-run!
A special shout-out to Sea-Man who ran the 5k for the Yellowstone Dutton 5k thing that is apparently a thing in WeFoCo. Sea-Man remarked that he was looking for approximately a 9 minute pace and proceeded to go out in the 1st mile in about 7:30-7:45 and finished in 26 minutes. Strong work, Sea-Man!
