YHC stepped in to fill the urgent need of a Flatline Q this morning, and was joined by 9 of the finest pax our region has to offer. Bevo courteously joined in a 2 mile EC run prior to get the bones and blood moving on a chilly morn.

05:30:00: – mosey

Down to the little park on 2nd street for:

• 10 bonnie blairs dc
• run around the loop, stop somewhere to do 20 dips
• repeato x5
• Imperial Walkers for the six

Mosey up to 4th st Filling Station (long mosey, about .5 mi)

• 4th & summit: 5 HR burpees
• 4 1/2 & summit: 20 WWIIs
• repeato x5
• Imperial Walkers for the six

Mosey to Bookmarks parking lot

• at one end, 10 jump squats
• at the other end, 1 reverse lunge (dc)
• increase/decrease by one to complete a full ladder
• Freddie Merc for the six

Mosey back to launch

• plank for time (appx 45 seconds)

The goal was to keep us moving, keep the heartrate up, get a little sweat going, and ultimately stay warm in the 28 degree chill. Mission accomplished.

NMM

• BAM had to leave during the squat/lunge ladder because his bowels were moving. Multiple pax commented on the speed at which he was moseying
• Root Canal, Cheesesteak, and Cherry Pie were out front all morning. Cheesesteak even did most of the exercises as called
• Toto and Lambchop carried on a nice conversation the whole time. It’s unclear what they were talking about, but it was clear that it took precedence over whatever was called to wait for the six. I don’t blame Toto for this…it’s Lambchop’s MO.
• Wobegon got the gold medal at the first station – absolutely flying out of the gate. I think the mosey and the HR burpees slowed him up a bit for stations 2 & 3
• Huck didn’t seem to think the workout was too difficult, but it probably could have used more burpees to please him
• Bevo is a consummate pax – always encouraging, greatly supportive of the six, purely focused on form, and complimentary of the beatdown even though he didn’t seem to care for the distance covered
• Summit street was surprisingly busy – about a half dozen cars sent the pax scurrying out of the way during the 10 minutes or so we occupied territory there.
• Many comments were overheard about OGs being on Friday morning, and to that I say we only covered 1.6 miles.
• The 2nd street park is at the bottom of a bowl at it’s straight uphill any direction from there…which makes it great for Flatline\
• A fourth pain station was planned for the amphitheater, but I will save that for a future Q…

Announcements

• Lamb Chop has Conspiracy tomorrow and was actively EHing many pax to post
• Cherry Pie has WIB on Thursday, and by a 3 to 2 vote it was decided that it will be held at Calvary. Huck, Bevo, and RC voted for Calvary, YHC and Cheesesteak voted for Thruway, BAM was absent from the voting due to stomach cramps, Wobegon, Lambchop & Toto abstained.
• IS will converge with Purgatory on Saturday due to the Mistletoe run.

Prayers were lifted up for the Pilot Mountain firefighters and community, for Workbench & his family who recently fostered a newborn, and for Cheesesteak. Thanks for the keys, Bevo, you’ll need to make a brunch reservation at the Filling Station to get them back.
