YHC brought the Christmas cheer to Bailey Park this AM following a solo EC that I happily cut short. Humblebrag?

On the first day of Christmas, Burnsy Claus gave to me: A sprint up the hill to Church Street.

On the second day of Christmas, Burnsy Claus gave to me: Two bear crawls and a sprint up the hill to Church Street.

• one bear crawl was the length from the train tracks to the traffic arm

On the third day of Christmas, Burnsy Claus gave to me: Three star jumps, two bear crawls and a sprint up the hill to Church Street.

On the fourth day of Christmas, Burnsy Claus gave to me: Four diamond mikes, three star jumps, two bear crawls and a sprint up the hill to Church Street.

• a Diamond Mike is a Mike Tyson with a diamond merkin. You’re welcome

On the fifth day of Christmas, Burnsy Claus gave to me: *FIVE TRAIN TRACK PULLUPS*, four diamond mikes, three star jumps, two bear crawls and a sprint up the hill to Church Street.

• it is here in the song where the cadence becomes more important. Everyone is familiar with the loud and triumphant declaration of five golden rings, and every gift that follows is an action, not a simple noun. The exercises chosen were all – with one exception – easily able to be “verbed”
• it is also here that the pax learned that YHC has a sonorous baritone voice box.

On the eighth day of Christmas, Burnsy Claus gave to me: Eight calves a-raising, seven frogs a-crunching, six Russians twisting, *FIVE TRAIN TRACK PULLUPS*, four diamond mikes, three star jumps, two bear crawls and a sprint up the hill to Church Street.

• it was at this point that the pax decided that YHC was not a jolly old fellow, but in fact Krampus incarnate

• We were low on time, so between the 11th and 12th days we moseyed back to the launch to do the 12th day, which most pax got to the pullup portion before throwing in the towel due to a lack of pullup bars

Spicoli & Root Canal were out front all morning with Drip not too far behind them. Remarkable effort from some swarthy vets at the end of a tough week of beatdowns.

Lamb Chop was awfully quiet. Either Razzie & Red Baron’s absence left no one for him to chat with or the workout actually had him breathing hard for once.

This was my second time working out with Chick Flick and Weasley alike, and I sense that both will be downtown regulars…Weasley drives all the way from High Point for UA!

Drip and Undertow were conversing in French at one point?

Flatliners beware…Post Hole says he’s bringing a similar workout to a Tuesday morning near you.

Bevo’s form was impeccable all morning, and it probably would have suffered had he joined me for the prescribed EC run

Crash was complimentary of the beatdown and even asked for a picture of the weinke. It was fine with me, but please don’t ask for pictures of anyone else’s weinke.

Announcements – 8 year convergence on 1/8 at hanes park, Lace is leading a birthday beatdown tomorrow at Purgatory, Undertow picked up IS to #helpabrotherout. Prayers for Spicoli’s daughter in utero, to be extracted (his words) on Jan 15.
