YHC received the keys to Redline late Monday evening via the surly Mongoose who is nursing an achilles injury (get better soon). There was little time for track creativity so YHC let his mind drift to the seven little hills rising away from Hanes Park designed explicitly to make Hims faster. Some reflection, and googling, on the number seven and YHC landed on the Pleiades Mythology (totally forgetting 02/02/2022 themed workout), which describes how the seven daughters of Titan Atlas formed the Pleiades Constellation. This storyline fits conveniently both to Redline and Conspiracy since there has been a lot of chatter about astronomy (Mars, Venus, or Uranus?). Some PAX have been known to use apps to determine the constellations we are seeing. Enough with the backstory—no Greek gods, stars, or app were needed to get the mumblechatter going after the PAX realized we would go meet and greet the seven sisters of Hanes Park.

A customary lap around Hanes Park counter-clockwise (not customary) and meet at the intersection of Glade & Sunset.

Mosey to Forsyth Street and climb to West End Blvd. and return (al gore, squats, or lunges [dealers choice] until the six arrive)
Mosey to Glade Street and climb to West End Blvd. turn left towards Clover
Mosey to Clover St. and climb to Carolina Ave and return (al gore, squats, or lunges [dealers choice] until the six arrive)
Mosey to Brookstown and climb to Carolina Ave and return (al gore, squats, or lunges [dealers choice] until the six arrive)
Mosey to Pilot View and climb to Carolina Ave and return (al gore, squats, or lunges [dealers choice] until the six arrive)
Mosey to Summit and climb to Carolina Ave (around the island) and return (al gore, squats, or lunges [dealers choice] until the six arrive)
Mosey to Manly (#HIM st) and climb to Summit St (al gore, squats, or lunges [dealers choice] until the six arrive)
Mosey down Summit to Carolina down Clover and to the track
Track Work – The PAX had about 9 minutes on the track. PAX may run as fast as desired on straightaways and walk/mosey the turns (3-4 laps for all PAX)
NMM
- Solid company of HIMS
- Temps were great—one layer
- No disclaimers with all regulars present
- Noticeable moans when the seven sisters of Pleaides were mentioned
- Balco eased in with his customary EC RIRO
- The stalwart Redliners got off to a slow start around Hanes Park. Perhaps a little bashful to meet the hills. Stalling?
- The PAX stayed together to visit each hill with good conversation during the mosey segments
- Some conversation about what is the steepest hill in WS
- Winklevoss was hustling up Manly St. like it was flat
COT
- Resistor’s family is awaiting a decision from insurance regarding a need for his daughter.
- Zuckerberg’s sister has heart surgery at Duke on March 8 and his M’s grandmother (?) seems to be in her final days.
- YHC took us out remembering these items and giving thanks for God’s goodness to us.
