Impossible Convergence in April

It was Burns brain-child to have a Spring Fling Convergence to get some new guys and a bunch of old guys out for a beatdown. Also it was Palin’s birthday but that’s unimportant.
45 PAX assembled and were led by a trifecta of Q’s. After the Mission Statement, Professional disclaimers, and Warmarama the PAX were broken up into 1/3’s and sent to one of 3 fantastic stations:
Sea-man’s portion of the workout: The Initmidator grinder.
Pax matched up in groups of 3 for 3 man grinder. 1st pax did exercise at bottom of intimidator and 2nd pax does exercise at the stop sign portion of intimidator and remaining pax is the runner. Keep doing exercise called until relieved.
Round 1: Merkins at base, Jack Reachers on hill
Round 2: Plank Jacks at base, SSH on hill
Round 3: Alternating shoulder taps at base, Michael Phelps on hill
All groups did great!

Crash’s portion of the workout:
Preparation for the Masters tourney this coming weekend.
Pax gather at the championship gold tees, Make a decision about where to tee off, Probably there were too many choices. Mosey from start about 40 meters, where the gold tees were placed starting ~60 m from the 100 m finish.
Gold tees at 60 paces, Yellow at 50, Blue at 40, White at 30, Red at 15.
Lap 1, bear crawl – from chosen tees to green (cardboard panel at 100 m mark)
Lap 2, crab walk, Lap 3, crawl bear, Lap 4, walk crab.
On curves, walk, mosey, or run to 3rd 100, Do running exercise for 3rd 100
Lap 1, run backwards (good for the knees), Lap 2, karaoke left, Lap 3, karaoke right, Lap 4, high knee
There were a couple more exercises on each list, don’t think anyone did more than 4 laps before needing to move on. This was a tough thing to explain on the fly to larger groups coming from other areas. Most everyone just started the first exercise from the gold tees, and a few finished it. A lot of modifying as necessary, slow mosey or some doing lunge walk for the golf portion.
Note to self: remember next time, less is more, travel less when there is only 15 min, keep it simpler to try to keep the pax together more.

Spicoli’s part:
BLIMPS in 3 stations on Education Hill.
After 10-15 minutes each group rotated. Everything went flawlessly. Palin never stopped talking.
