Cinco de Crasho
QIC: Crash
Date: 5/5/2022
PAX: Madoff, Schneider, Van Gogh, Harden, Sea-Man, Eye Candy, Crash
Another busy week meant little time to plan. Made 2 workouts one on either side of cardboard, ‘May the 4th be with Crash’ and ‘Cinco de Crasho.’ PAX assembled under the dim lights of Distillery. Got a note the evening before that we may have an FNG. Will be honest, this was one of those nights that Qing the next day kept YHC sleepless for some unexplainable and unfathomable reason.
FNG recruited by Harden showed up right at the stroke of 5:30, the PAX did 5 burpees to welcome him in and then Mission and Core Principles were recited.
Sour Mash would have liked the playlist – a collection of Distillery themed songs that will make multiple appearances at the Distillery. Madoff commented on this, seemed to notice and enjoy the theme.
Warmup – ~15 SSH, IST, 6 Abe Vigoda, ~15 Hillbillies, AST forward and backward. I think that’s it. Carry blocks to cardboard by trailer. Run a lap.
Workout:
PAX choose May 4th or May 5th related theme. The choice of the PAX was Cinco de Crasho.
5 burpees, then 4 rounds each with 3 exercises, in 3 sets – exercise 1, 1-2, 1-2-3 – run a lap after each set, and travel mode (5, 10, or 15 parking spaces) between sets.
10 blockees, 15 heels to heaven, 25 merkins, bear crawl & crawl bear
10 curls, 15 monkey humpers, 25 plank jacks, crab walk & walk crab
10 bent row, 15 ww2, 25 squats, then I had written murder blockees but believe I recall we just went to the next set for time.
10 skull crusher, 15 crunchy frog, 25 ssh, cusack blocks back to storage location and assemble back at trailer in parking lot for Mary
Mary
15 ish low flutter in cadence, 20 ish american hammer in cadence per VG, then I think 15 ish box cutter per Madoff, then back to Crash for Ring of Fire – Merkins around the ring, starting with cinco, then finish.
NMM & Prayers
Good morning, good to see this assembled group. Got in 1.5-2 miles and a good number of exercises. Great to have former FNG Eye Candy out this morning. All worked hard and a few chose 10 or 15 parking spaces for traveling exercise. The pace and numbers kept everyone together for the most part, which was nice. Prayers for Eye Candy’s father, and dealing with recovery from surgery on foot, prayers for reaching out to those who you may not have been in touch with for a while. Prayers for being good fathers and husbands and sons as applicable. Thanks for the assembled PAX and the organization and for FNGs joining. Thanks for coming out gentlemen.
