YHC rolled into the 1st Pres lot at the same time as a pair of carpoolers, @Palin and @Schlitz. You might think that these two are environmentally conscious, but one could argue the amount of CO2 these guys give off with their MC might negate any positive impacts on their carbon footprint carpooling might provide. *I’m not entirely sure if excessive amounts of CO2 is actually harmful for the environment, but the joke/point remains.

More PAX start pouring in and as we prepare to launch at 0530 sharp. @Palin shares he’s still not able to run/have his knees go over his toes. YHC suggests he start heading to Corpening Plaza.

0529:30 – Mission Statement and CP’s recited perfectly.

0530:00 – We’re off. Mosey to Corpening Plaza

Assemble at the base of the water fountain/waterfall for Station Work

Station 1/Base of waterfall: 10 burpees

Station 2/landing to the right of waterfall: Squat Jumps

Station 3/opposite end of fountain outside BB&T building: Derkins

Station 4/landing to the left of waterfall: Gas Pumps

Pax completed circuit of increasing reps at stations 2-4, but maintained 10 burpees at station 1

5, 10, 15, 20 reps of each exercise equated to 4 full rounds.

*After round 3, YHC informs @Palin that he should head to the parking lot off of Spruce St across from the park/outdoor pavilion, @Palin begins his journey*

After all PAX had completed the Corpening circuit, we mosey to the strollway for some work on the columns.

Starting at the column furthest from 1st street, we begin descending Mike Tyson’s. Start with 9 then 8 then 7 etc.

Mode of transportation between columns: lunge walk

Once all PAX had completed the lunging and Mike Tyson-ing, we then begin our own journey to the aforementioned lot off of Spruce St.

The column work took longer than anticipated, and YHC feared @Palin might be sitting in the Spruce St lot waiting on the rest of us to arrive

As such, YHC 86’d some additional work planned for various street corners on the way to Spruce St.

As we approach the Spruce St lot on our mosey, we begin to realize @Palin is not there…………….

Some more concerned PAX start calling out for our now-absent, hobbled @Palin. No response…..so off we go to find him.

He’s not in the parking lot…..he’s not at the pavilion/park…..oh crap.

Luckily, after a quick yogg up the pavilion steps @Bevo locates @Palin wrapping up his casual stroll.

Now that all are present and accounted for, we head back to the Spruce St lot.

Line up at beginning of parking spots, of which there were 21.

On first line, complete 21 merkins then mosey to end of parking spots and mosey back to the start but move up one line.

On the second line, complete 20 squats then mosey to end of parking spots and mosey back to the start but move up another line.

On third line, complete 19 merkins and follow the previous pattern, descending reps all the way down to the last parking spot for 1 merkin.

(All said, that one circuit had the PAX perform 121 Merkins and 110 Squats. #TClaps)

As previously mentioned, the MC got ratcheted up pretty early when @Palin and @Schlitz rolled in. This trend continued throughout the beatdown. #shocker

@Van Gogh is routinely out in front at the vast majority of beatdowns he attends, but this day was a little different. Buddy wasn’t even in the same zip code as the rest of us all morning. Miles out in front and still dishing out form….let’s call them “encouragements”…as he lapped us all. @VG also made it clear that he will not stand for reciprocated “form encouragements”. #onewaystreet

Some interesting discussion about the cinematic classic “American Psycho”. I’ll leave it at that. Also, @Bevo was the one that brought up the movie, and everyone agreed that of all of the PAX in F3WS, he probably resembles Mr. Bateman the most. #LongHairDon’tCare

@Madoff was a real mensch all morning as he was dragging my sorry tail around as the 6.

Apparently the corner of 1st and Marshall is one of @Schlitz’s most profitable locale’s for his brewski distribution biz.
