PAX: Zima(!), Van Gogh, Cherry Pie, Crash, Dr. Toot(WD,Q), Cruiser(WB), Sex Wax, Work Bench, Scneider
Perfect weather greeted the intrepid PAX. Zima made his triumphant return to the fold and was sooo warm and fuzzy.
WARMORAMA: usual things, except I tried to count Zima-style with limited success. Also did two arm swirly shenanigans as CherryPie made his entry into the circle. He was pleased.
THE THANG: Remaining at our beginning spot, Four Corners with 10 burpees at the first corner, 10 burpees and 20 merkins at the second corner, 10 burpees and 20 merkins and 30 bootstrap squats at the third corner, and 10 burpees and 20 merkins and 30 bootstrap squats and 40 Freddy Mercs at the fourth corner. We then unwound the whole shebang repeating in reverse order til we returned where we began. Sliding to the picnic shelter, we did a Thistle count of Seven Layers of Dip with lots of merkin layers to satisfy Zima, who gently helped me improve my form. On the way home, we detoured for a parking lot crawl for bear crawl to each parking spot line and performing 2 merkins at each line, toting up to 22 merkins. Returning to the AO, we finished with three minutes of Mary. Lots of WWIIs.
ANNOUNCEMENTS: Memorial Day convergence at the Iron Throne and a n 8:30 Murph at River Oaks. FiA, Ms, 2.0s all welcome.
COT: Thankfulness for the providence that brought us together as we strengthen each other together.
MNM: Sure do miss @Spamalot and @StarFish as they would have appreciated the CIA torture inspired music playlist of Barry Manilow, Anne Murray, Neil Sedaka, Starland Vocal Band, The Carpenters, etc. to set the mood. Kenny Nolan “I Like Dreaming” was my favorite as I kept the speaker on volume 12 and close to the ears of appreciative PAX. Unknown to us, til we were leaving, Van Gogh noticed what he said what his kids say when he is interrupted, ” Hey, look at those rabbits. They’re wrestling!” Well, that was an awkward end to the proceedings as the PAX lingered a bit longer than I was comfortable. Anyhoo, I left the keys with Bugs Bunny.
