YHC left my humble rural abode in the hands of the uber-qualified Schlitz and prayed for a turnout for him, and brought a beatdown to the TIT regulars at Sherwood Forest Elementary. 9 pax joined me and we commenced to kicking our collective cases of the Mondays to the curb.
WoR was of the travelling variety. We made our way to the Parkway Presbyterian side lot with stops along the way for SSHs, Imperial Walkers, Windmills (rejected by many pax), Mountain climbers, Jack Reachers, and Michael Phelps, all x15 IC.

The Thang, pt 3 – Wall work.
To get to the wall we did a little partner travel. Partner 1 would take a very slow mosey in the direction of the wall while Partner 2 did 5 bonnie blairs, then sprinted to catch up. Flapjack and repeato all the way to the wall. When at the wall, everyone lined up on the wall in a wall sit and one by one we did 5 bonnie blairs down the line. Then we all held a plank with our feet at the base of the wall and did 5 mike tysons down the line. Then the pax were given the choice which set to repeato and they (Rubber Ducky) chose mike tysons again – except this time we did 10 each.
Mosey up the hill back to the launch for Mary – American Hammers, Low Flutters, WWIIs, Muttons L & R all x15 IC, Hucks 3 Merkins to finish.
NMM
Great to meet Bruin this morning. He said he was convinced to come out because Rubber Ducky EHd him over a beer – hard to say no in that situation, I feel. No EC runners or RIROs today. YHC was shocked to see that the pax still preferred Abe Vigodas to Windmills in the cooler temps. My goal for WoR was to, ya know, warm up our bodies…static stretches weren’t in the cards. On the way down to the church parking lot I saw the shelter off to the side and decided to nix the block work I had planned for the 7 layer dip…less distance to travel and no blockees! VG discovered the trusses of the shelter are sturdy enough for pullups too…he has the Q on 1/22 and I’m warning you now to STAY AWAY. An unnamed pax who just had a fourth 2.0 was roasted from afar this morning…”that dude couldn’t pull out of his garage,” courtesy of the site Q. Had a nice time catching up with Cheesesteak for a bit – he’s coming out with less frequency due to some life stuff but it’s always great to work out with him. Lots of 2nd F happening this morning in general…and if you want to feel valued just talk to Drip for 30 seconds! Loved starting the day this way today.
Schlitz – sorry the Launchpad regulars didn’t come through for you. I appreciate you making the trip up there. Van Gogh has the reins next week.
Writing this backblast while enjoying a nice ALDI brand Chocolate Lava Cake Stout – $8.99 for a 6 pack. Go get ya some.
No spoken prayer requests, YHC took us out full of gratitude for our many blessings.
Duck – the keys fell out of Greenspan’s pocket with his phone. I should have known better than to put them there for safe keeping.
