Reformation Day
QIC: Subfloor
Date: 10/31/2023
PAX: Adobe, Drama Queen, Bruin, Schneider, Sea-Man, Subfloor (QIC)
As I was setting up the premiere Tuesday AO, it started to slightly rain. Just enough to give the 2 runners a nice shower before the hammer came down. Adobe came and planted the flag, as well helped move one of the movable benches for a great new exercise. October 31 is a glorious day for a holiday. Reformation Day of course. 506 years ago, on 10/31/1517, Martin Luther used his hammer to post his 95 Theses on the Wittenburg door. As celebration, the following workout.
Warm-O-Rama
Mission Statement / 5 Core Principles
Abe Vigoda x 6
Whirly with a Clap x 10
10 Funpees (new original exercise, like a burpee but fun, done with a smile)
31 German Hammers (maybe too much)
15 Arms – Arm Swirly Things, Things Swirly Arm, Seal Claps
17 SSHs
The Thang
Mosey to get a block.
Back to front of school. Five stations. Split up to each station. Only one station counts to nine, others do as many as you can. Then switch. We did the circuit about 4 times.
- Calvinist Skull Crushers
- Lutheran Overhead Press
- Anglican Block Swing
- Anabaptist Prom Date
- Moravian Merkin (aka Abyss Merkin), count to 9
When MC Hammer came on it was Hammer Time.
Split into groups of three. Each does one of the three exercises. Only the one who is doing War Hammer counts to 10. Then switch. Did this a number of times before time ran out.
- Protestant Hammer with or without block
- Jackhammer
- War Hammer
Return blocks.

Everyone was complementary on starting out with 31 German Hammers. All Qs should do this. DQ said the playlist was very eclectic, see below. The Group of Adobe, Schneider, and Sea-Man immediately fell into chaos of who’s counting, what exercise am I doing, and other divisive language. If they were a Protestant church, they would have split. Bruin has become a regular at Parliament, Site Q needs to sign him up to Q. Watch out for Sea-Man’s next Q, Jack Hammer may make an appearance.
