A Time Conspiracy (It Flies When You’re Having Fun)

An unexpected invitation from the site-Q led to YHC receiving the honors today at the grandaddy Wednesday AO.  The chilly morning was unnoticed and unremarked upon by those in attendance after about 15 seconds.  Here’s what happened.

Warmarama:

Lap around the parking lot, SSHs, Cherry Pies (enter Cherry Pie), Abe Vigoda (a little faster than normal, but not a windmill), standing hammies (enter Spicoli, right on time), ISTs

 

The Thang

Mosey to playground area and partner up.  Partner A accumulates reps, partner B runs up the IntimidatorTM to Carolina and performs burpees x 2.  Then run back down, relieve partner A, and flip flop.

  • Lateral pull-ups on the swings x 100
  • Squats x 200
  • Dying Cockroach (single-count) x 300
  • Cobra Crunch (single-count) x 300
  • Lunges (single-count) x 200
  • Dive Bombers x 100

Total of 1,200 reps per pairing.

One last mosey up the Intimidator together, then mosey home for 1 minute of Mary consisting of slow merkins.

Time.

NMM:

  • YHC thinks only one pairing made it through all of the dive bombers.
  • Great 2nd F all around, and guys, being sufficiently warm, hung around for a few extra seconds after CoT for additional fellowship. During that time, we were able to recruit Schlitz into a Ragnar spot!
  • Runs up the Intimidator during/after squats and lunges were special.
  • Great to see Rollback out for his first bootcamp after posting at OGs last Friday. He was an excellent partner and is quickly figuring things out.
  • Drip’s 2.0 is posting some while home from college. T-Claps!
  • Madoff made the drive in from the country for his second post at Hanes Park in as many weeks. He crushed the runs up the Intimidator.
  • Palin and Frostbite were cruising together up the Intimidator. Grateful for both of you guys.
  • One of YHC’s favorite moments from this year was being chaperoned by Bevo to a (rained out) Schlitz-hosted Dash baseball game in May the day after being released from ICU. Good times.  If Schlitz invites you to a party, find a baby sitter (if applicable) and make it happen.
  • Cherry Pie and Spicoli arrived at their normal times like clockwork. The cherry pies warmup was a little belabored in order to give CP some time to get his quota of burpees in.  Spicoli was caught off-guard when YHC called time; it flies when you’re having “fun”!
