- Obligatory warm-up lap around Hanes Park
- Recover at the HP main entrance at the bottom of the Intimidator for further instructions
- Launch up the Intimidator and recover at the 4th Street Filling Station
- 5K Pace & Recovery intersection to intersection down 4th Street
- Left on Trade Recovery
- 5k Pace & Recovery intersection to intersection down 5th Street
- Right on Summit Downhill Recovery to the track
- 200m and 300m runs with 100m recovery (no lollygagging)
NMM
- Doublewide has some courage to show back up after requiring push-ups at Redline last week. After the pushups last week, some Redline regulars were probably thinking of other meanings for DW’s initials. DW saw my pre-blast “no push-ups guarantee” so he came out. YHC had to take the reins back and show DW the proper Redline form. Redline etiquette is always expected :-). It was more about keeping the regulars happy (aahhhmmm Mongoose).
- Nice to see Kay back at it and wearing out his legs prepping for a Marathon…YHC was only close to Kay for 1/4 of a mile and then he was gone
- The whole crew was impressed with YHC’s creative workout downtown, one the regulars have seen multiple times.
- Two groups this morning – the engines were in the front pulling us along and YHC was making sure the caboose stayed connected and showed up at the station
- Nice to meet Joker from Area 51 who is in town for business…good convo during the warm-up lap and then he ran with the engines upfront the rest of the morning
- The Vig, Mongoose, and Wink casually ran their 5k pace in the front with Kay being the lead engine
- GTs with Suede for part of the run who just got back from skiing in the northeast
- Hitman continues to beat his Redline PRs
- DW was wondering if Balco had any hopes for the Superbowl with his Eagles out…they were pretty open-minded except “never 49ers”
- DW turned on some afterburners after turning left on 5th street
- Rollback started running last January…he did 26.2 miles last Saturday with Bev for the Miles of Hope Run. He showed up at Run-N-Gun Monday. At Redline this morning it appeared the wind was at his back. He is expected to show up for Winklevoss’ Bells N Whistles Q tomorrow (kotters Wink). Dude is crushing it!
- Resistor was away, but the whistle was back on the track so YHC is sure Resistor will return soon.
- Winklevoss indicates there will likely be more whistles than bells at Bells N Whistles tomorrow. Show up in the gloom to find out
COT
YHC took us out this morning grateful to be able to exercise and to do it with other men who are now friends. YHC also prayed for patience throughout our day and that we would love others well today.
Balco has the keys for Redline next week. All are invited to see if he will tease Mongoose & Co. with anything besides running.
