Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes it rains.

The radar is an evil, untruthful spawn of the devil. The rain was there; it happened, and we made the most of it.
Pre-Ruck done, cars are rolling in, and we welcome Lance, our new FNG, who came with Lace.
Warm-O-Rama with the Q’s flawless cadence and a long warm-up lap.
Today’s soundtrack was some of YHC’s favorites from The Baseball Project as we prepare for opening day tomorrow. This super group of jangle rockers has several great records worth hearing. I have no personal rooting interest in the Twins, but Craig Finn from the Hold Steady guests on “Please Don’t Call Them Twinkies” is probably my number-one jam from TBP.
The Thang:
OYO:
- 10 Curls
- 10 Goblet Squats
- 10 Merkins
- 10 OHP
Take a lap, repeat-O with 15, then 20 reps.
The Circle!
- Tighten the circle a bit and plank it up.
- Hold plank and pass 5 burpees
- Al Gore, then pass 10 Monkey Humpers
- Quick lap
- Plank up, pass 15 Dry Docks
- Al Gore, pass 20 alternating lunges.
Periods of heavy rain started at this point. Pax were thrilled.
Reps and Sprints:
- Line up at the end of the lot. Perform called reps, sprint down and back, and wait for the next called exercise.
- 10 skull crushers
- 10 Bent Rows
- 10 Kettle Bell Swings
- 15 skull crushers
- 15 Bent Rows
- 15 Kettle Bell Swings
A motion was made and seconded for Standing Mary (is that a thing? I guess so.). Lunges, Walkers, Runner Streatch-yoga-esq things, night clubs).
And time.
Welcome our new FNG Vulcan. He is in a small group at church with Lace. He has 12 kids, is a guitar player, and is in the rubber industry. So much to work with. We landed at Vulcan.
Sure, Trojan, Ribbed, O-Ring, Nabs, and so much more were RIGHT THERE. Consensus was posted in the rain for the first time and deserved a good nickname. As the man said, it’s better than Lace.
COT: Chowda’s friend in Florida who lost his life in a car accident and his family. Buller?’s parents are facing aging challenges.
YHC took us out, and a small contingent went for coffee.
Yeah, the rain was not ideal, but it was a great morning. My self-talk is always, “You’ve been wet before; you’ll be dry later.” And it checks out!
Thanks to Cowboy for the invite to the pre-ruck and Atrophy for the keys. They are under the mysterious covered area at the AO….which we did NOT use.
