We have very exciting news to bring to you.  We have decided to revive an evening workout option for all Pax and new guys starting on April 9th, at 0730pm. It will meet weekly on Tuesday evenings at Miller Park (Queen St Lot across from Moore Elementary) in the Historic Ardmore Neighborhood!

A few housekeeping items before I lay the proposal out:

  • The newly created AO has not been named yet. Suggestions are flowing in right now (Check slack thread). We are a democracy and will hold a vote after the first workout. Show up to place your vote!
  • Turnover and I are “Co-Sponsoring” instead of “Co-Site Qing.” We would love for someone to take the reigns on this in the near future. And maybe it will be a new guy, but if not, let TO know if you are interested in managing this site.
  • TO and I will Q the first workout. We have Qs lined up through May and early June. Let one of us know if you are interested in Qing! Lambchop has 4/16 and already has an FNG lined up to come!
  • The above flyer was created by our own @Adobe (THANK YOU!!) Please feel free to print this and leave it around town or forward onto your buddies!

While we have a ton of great morning dudes, we want this option available for those whom mornings do not work best for, or the early gloom is a barrier of entry into F3. Our hope is that this later workout will be an FNG haven and will bring more guys into the mix.  We all know a guy or two who has said that 0530am is too early. Well, now that is not an excuse! With this evening option, guys can now attend at a more suitable time that works best for them and benefit from the camaraderie that F3 brings.  We feel like this evening option provides opportunity to tap into new guys in and around Winston-Salem while also providing an additional option for all of you guys.  Feel free to double down on Tuesdays with Flatline/Redline/Parliament in the AM!

Mornings work great for a lot of guys as it is before the day gets busy, kids get up, or the extracurriculars take place. All great points.  In the same vein, we hope that a later evening workout option will not infringe on that time with family and friends.  Additionally, if you have a 2.0 and mornings are hard, bring ‘em out! We would love for them to be included. Miller Park offers a wide range of activities: track, fields, benches, pull-up bars, and even bocce and horseshoes if we want to spice things up….

With all of this being said, I completely understand if you want to stick to your morning workout routine. The one ask Turnover and I have is that you will help promote it to those guys who you have EH’d in the past and have not been out. Hit them up again, letting them know there is now an option in the evening for them to work out, to be encouraged, and to be loved. We all will be better husbands, fathers, friends, and colleagues with them in our mix.

I hope each of you has benefitted from the F3 friendships and accountability that I have and will pass that onto the next guy. Having you guys show up and supporting the guy next to you, whether you know them or not, will continue to have a grave impact on our community.
