18 #Pax gathered for the launch of a new #AO that starts at 1930 at Miller Park including 3 FNGs and some folks whom I have never met before. It was a perfect night; the rain washed away some pollen, cooled the temps, and made for a successful night by all means!

We had plenty to cover.. naming the #AO, naming a few #FNGs, controlling @LambChop’s WW2 count, while also exploring all aspects of this new #AO that has never hosted a bootcamp workout before. Here is how it went:

Mosey over to AARP tent.  Partner 1 stays and does exercise while Partner 2 moseys to firepit and does 2 Burpees. Flip Flop until set amount of reps as a group is done.

@Rustbucket is a great partner for Dora. He is a straight beast.  Glad to have him back out consistently.

@BlueSteel (#Kotters) makes an XL shirt look like a shmedium. It was decided that he could beat @Zima in a fight

Speaking of @Zima, he was actually nice tonight. Other than his “compliment” about @BlueSteel’s lunges. That’s how it was decided who would win in a fight.

@Lambchop only cared about WW2s. I did not let him pick up the 6 with WW2s as to keep a close eye on his math. He’s looking forward to IPC this fall.

@Palin tried to EH a very strong looking guy at the beginning of the workout. Said guy said @Palin was in better shape than him and that he wished he looked like him. That guy was jacked. And @Palin is not, so he must have been looking at someone else.  That guy did not join us but maybe next time.

@Tarzan is a silent assassin. Great to meet you last night! You’re a beast! Keep EH’ing those buddies of yours. They will come.

@Schlitz brought the party and made the workout look easy.

@Bruin breezed through the whole workout but I think the real reason he was there was for the refreshments afterwards.

There would be no sign of @Rudolph coming off the IL. He was out front all morning and got @Influencer to post (#Kotters).  @Influencer eventually found us during #DORA. Strong dudes right there.

@Undertow is ever faithful bringing the shovel flag. He was EH’ing all the guys to come out to #Purgatory. Love it.

@Drip was as nice as can be. I expect nothing less.

Onto the naming…

Former FNG Greg Waters was brought out by @Zima. @Zima has friends? Greg worked with @Zima back in 2006 and is into DJ’ing techno music and supposedly has an OnlyFans for board games and other games. His favorite game is Earth which @Lambchop has never played.  We thus named him @Sorry phonetically spelled (SAHHHHH-REEE). Supposedly @Zima could have exposed him a lot more…would love to hear what other baggage you got!

Former FNG Danesh (sp?) is a neighbor of @Schlitz and @Palin. I also have seen him walking around the neighborhood in a camo weight vest and a stroller. Dude is jacked and a total badass. I told myself that next time I saw him walking I would put the EH on him… turns out @Schlitz and @Palin already did! He is Canadian, so of course likes hockey,  works for a IT Healthcare company out of LA (Los Angeles and not Lower Ardmore). Lots of good names thrown out like @Pucker but we landed on @LetterKenny which is a Canadian Sitcom show about trailer park boys and “hicks.”

Former FNG James Miller lives in apartments in Ardmore and actually saw the flyers YHC had posted around the neighborhood. Mad props to you for coming out solo. And glad the flyers worked #FreeAdvertising. He went to Wake Undergrad, Wake Med, and is now an IM Resident at Baptist. He grew up in CLT. We ran with the idea of his last name being Miller and his first post was at Miller Park so went with #Brownbag which is you know typical of Wake students and especially Wake Doctors!

Lastly, this #AO had to be named. A call went out on Slack for recommendations and ideas with voting to commence at the end of the workout. Suggestions like “The Brewery” after the Milwaukee Brewers old baseball stadium (Miller Park), Evening Shade after a 90s show, Coyote’s Den due to coyote’s having been seen in and around the neighborhood.  We landed on HighLife after the infamous adult beverage that is sweet and golden to the lips that is brewed by Miller. I love it (the name and the beer)!

Refreshments were indulged upon afterwards but the Champagne of Beers was not present this time around… We should get on that!

Some of the old guard of F3 did not join us for one reason or another… @Starfish (NanDad) chose Wake baseball.  @Bam had GrandBam duties. @Wobegon needed rest ahead of his Q at #Mayhem. @Mongoose… well just did not show up even if it was in his front yard. Typical.  @Burlap I promise this workout is still free! Hope each one of you join us in the coming weeks!

I had tempered my expectations of what the turnout would be… the M even asked what I would do if it was a “disappointment”.  Some of the local Ard-morons were traveling this week (@Greenspan, @Spicoli, @Snooki) and with the rain in the forecast, I had no idea what to expect.  Turns out last night exceeded all of my expectations and that is because of each one of you supporting and socializing, so thank you.

@Greenspan and his family as they mourn and grieve the loss of his dad who passed away Tuesday morning. Much love to you guys.

Faith is believing in something or someone greater than yourselves. So, as a believer, I took us out in prayer thanking the Sky Q for such a fun night, beautiful weather, and for the encouragement and push each one of you guys bring to me and to your community.
