It’s Dark at 6:30 PM Too
QIC: Drama Queen
Date: 11/12/2024
PAX: Frostbite, Hot Dish, Blue Steel, Uga, Drama Queen
YHC had committed to Frostbite for a High Life Q some time ago. Good intentions to post before the date but we all know where those lead. With a little recon since the AO is near my office and a plan was devised.
It was another warm but fully dark by 6:30 evening in November and pax started rolling in. We began with 4 near the parked cars but decided after SSHs that both the surface and angle of this section of the parking lot was not ideal so we moved to some flatter ground near the east side of the lot. It was around this point Uga joined us.
Warmorama covered the standards with a usual DQQ finish of Dry Dock Crabs. Execution of these was about like that of pax in other AOs and all were then ready for break dancing at the club later in the evening or competing in Olympic breaking.
We moseyed to the school parking lot and with minimal Q fail YHC gave instructions for Thang 1, the Super Collider. Split into 2 groups and run opposite directions around the lot. Upon meeting perform 10 Booyah merkins, 20 WW IIs while partner planks on feet/ flapjack and 30 squats. One group had 3 but quickly modified to get all the work in. We made one lap but time was flying so we moved to the center of the lot for Thang 2.
3 cones were placed about 10 yards apart and we began the Beast. Start/finish line was approx 10 yds before the first cone. Run to each cone and stop and do 6 reps of called exercise turn after running another 10 yds or so and return stopping at cones again. We were set to do 6 rounds of 6 exercises and 6 reps each. 666 – The Beast. We made it through Hand Release Merkins, Lunges, Freddie Mercs, Shoulder Taps, and LBCs (I think). For the last round we decided Beast Lite would be sufficient as time was running short and only 1 burpee at each cone was required.
Moseyed back toward the launch but decided to stop at a patch of grass for Mary.

Steve Miller Band Radio (Miller Park – get it) was YHCs selection for music. Little too far away during Super Collider but was close enough to hear during the Beast. Selections were shy on SMB. More like 70s on 7. Should have selected SMB Greatest Hits. #nexttime
Always good to see Blue Steel – still a beast
Good to meet new pax Hot Dish and Uga. And Sunday saw Hot Dish again at the Backyard Ultra. Good job going all in F3
Frostbite is making a good effort here for our new evening AO. Get out and support it when you can. Thanks for the keys – they’re somewhere in the leaves.
