December 2024’s Challenge is burpees for this month.  I committed to Q’ing about 3 months ago.  Of course, we all get busy, and this week has been no less busy being that I am headed out on vacation on Sunday.  However, the Duck holds to his commitments.  And here we are.  Plus, it was raining and I already laid out my boner pants.

Earlier in the year, I attended a solid, but confusing Flatline beat down by Van Gogh.  I remembered the route and thought this would be good to do some burpees on.  I also remember getting yelled at by a resident of a neighboring apartment for our mumble chatter that early in the morning.  So, I decided to begin at the end of the route and work our way back up.  In theory this was a good idea.  In practice, not so much.  At Lamb Chop’s request, I called an audible and basically cut the work out in half.  Here is what we did.

Warm up – Side Straddle Hop’s – No more time wasters

Mosey to the new stroll way bridge over Business 40 – 5 burpees

Mosey down the path to the building adjacent to the greenway by Old Salem – 5 Burpees

Mosey to the end of said path – 5 Burpees

Start Workout:

Mosey to middle light pole – 5 Burpees – Back to Start 5 Burpees

Hit every pole on the way back from the start.

Mosey back up to the building – 5 Burpees

Mosey back up to stroll way bridge – 5 Burpees

Mosey to end of stroll way – 5 Burpees

Mosey back to launch – 5 Burpees

AC/DC Thunder Struck – ½ Song due to time – 15 Burpees (Estimated)

All in all, the workout was only 1 exercise but sufficiently pumped up the PAX’s numbers.  Tarheel got some serious miles in.  He was the sad clown on the EC Run.  We got in 3.3 miles as a group and 155 Burpees.  Chick Flick is still needing a site Q for Flatline.  He has the calendar booked out through Q3 of 2025.  Someone of the regulars needs to grab that.  I got a message that Scrooge and Rachel Ray could not find the site which seemed to happen at Flatline.  YHC missed it when I first started.

Prayers for the families dealing with struggles.  Good way to start the day.
