IT WAS HIM!

Sooooo, I was scheduled to Q for the first time at Conspiracy. I was super stoked. Just a “little rain” in the forecast. No biggie.

HAH!!! We’ll get to that in a minute. Winter monsoons are so much fun in North Carolina.
Let’s jump right in…

I pulled up into the lot, and to my surprise, I wasn’t the only one there. Two other cars, lights on, heat on. We can fix that.
Hopped out of the car with a minute to spare and Greenspan kindly reminded me…”They do have a shelter here.”
To which I replied…. “Yeah. I know. That wasn’t a part of the original plan, but we can definitely modify.”
To which he replied….. “Okay. Cool, I’ll stay.” ! Classic.

Warm-O-RAMA:

Usual suspects here. But, the quarters were ever so tight under the shelter. Oh well, at least it was dry.

SSH, Abe V, Whirly, some Broga…. Enough of that.

The (Modified) THANG:

Okay, the original plan had 2 parts. Both parts were to take place in a space larger than public bathroom stall. So we had to make them fit.

Part 1.

Merkin Party. ( Do multiple merkin routines under shelter, then run to the end of the track and back )

1- Ranger Merkins ( 10X ) 2- Merkin Jax ( 5X ) 3- Mountain Climber Merkins ( 5X ) 4- One Legged Merkins ( 5x / 5x )

– Merkin Jax are 1 Merkin and then 4 Plank Jacks.. Then 2/8, 3/12, 4/16, 5/20
– Mountain Climber Merkins are 1 Merkin and then 3 Mountain Climbers..2/3, 3/3, 4/3, 5/3. ( OUCH )

We did this twice.

Part 2.

11’s ! Very soggy 11’s.

At 1 side ( under the shelter ) you do Wojo Squats.
At the other side ( across the bridge and up the stairs beside the playground ) you do Daniel-Son’s

We only got about half way through this routine as we were getting completely soaked and it hurt a lot. So the Q called an Omaha. ( Blind Date was like, “What’s an Omaha?” I explained… to which he replied, ” Oh…Now I know. Didn’t know that was a thing…Thanks for telling me guys! Didn’t know that was an option..” ) LOL!

OMAHA: Part3.

Since there were only 3 PAX for the shred fest today, I decided to call a “modified” 7 Layer Dip.

1 PAX does 10 Abyss Merkins, while the other PAX does Dips. Rotate through all PAX.

Then, 10 Abyss Merkins – Irkins. Then 10 Abyss Merkins – Dips. Then 10 Abyss Merkins – Dirkins. Then 10 Abyss Merkins – Dips.

Ouch Again.

Had a few minutes left so we did the following IC.

1. LBFK ( Little Baby Flutter Kicks ) 2. WWII’s – 10x  3. Mutton Crunch 10x( L&R ) 4. Speedy WWII’s 10x.

Gentlemen. Thank you times 1000. It took a whole lotta #HIM power to show up this morning.

Blind Date is still killing it! Dudes 2 months in and posting like 4-5 times a week.
And, word on the street is, he’s looking forward to the possibility of a resurrected Bourbon Chase team. Might be the year !?

Greenspan was kind enough to crawl alongside YHC while we were running during the routine. After his Redline Q yesterday, I really didn’t have that much running planned. There was a lot more bear crawling, but…pffft ! Not this morning. We probably would have drowned.

You guys are awesome.

Need to run it back at this site again pretty soon. Awesome spot.

Frank and Beans… First time Q’ing here….didn’t know the place had a set of keys? I’m sure they are half way to the Atlantic Ocean by now with all the rain today. I do have a metal detector?
