AO VQ at Redline

QIC: Turnover

Date: 4.8.25

PAX: @chomper ; @wooly booger ; @balco ; @Winklevoss (WD) ; @Pollster (WB) ; Turnover (Q)

YHC has posted at #Redline a handful of times over the years. Truth be told, it is not on the top of YHC’s list of “Favorite AO’s”. Mostly because it seems every time I’ve posted there, I’ve limped away after having my John Brown Hindparts whipped by the beasts that are the #Redline Regulars. That said, YHC was excited and a little nervous to Q for the first time at this most daunting of AOs. A plan, whose aim was to hopefully be found up to snuff by the #Redline constituents, was put in place, YHC crossed his fingers hoping it was enough and just sent that sucker. Let’s check it out.

0530: YHC begins by reciting the Mission Statement and CP’s to perfection #AsUsual.

0531: YHC asks where the rock pile is. (this was met with tepid amusement from the PAX….almost like they knew I was stalling).

Enough funny business, so off we go for the standard loop around the park.

As we came down the backstretch of the Hanes Park Loop, we heard the ominous sounds of shouting and whistles blowing coming from the track. The regulars knew what this meant, and it wasn’t YHC’s first Redline Rodeo, so I knew what it meant too….the idea of a wholesale, hills-only Omaha was floated, but ultimately (and thankfully) nixed. To the track we go.

The Thang

As the date of the beatdown was 4.8, we were going to focus on just those two numbers.

Circuit: 400m On ; 200m Off ; 800m On ; 200m Off ; then up the Intimidator to Jersey

Mosey back to the track and Repeato until time.

All PAX got in roughly 2.5 rounds. #Strong

Done.

YHC and @Chomper discussed how planning a beatdown for Redline is actually pretty simple on its face. It’s the subsequent anxiety and dread of potentially disappointing the assembled PAX that gets you.

@Wooly Booger asserted his dominance early and often. My guy was leading the pack all morning. He even got in some extra track work because 1) he is a beast and 2) YHC did not make it clear to everyone that we were heading back to launch. #QFail

@Wink, @Balco, and @Chomper spent most of the morning discussing international markets and politics, as is their custom. YHC isn’t smart enough to understand all that racket, so I kept my distance as not to bring the net IQ of the group down.

@Pollster had no issues with the track work or the hills. I know this because he seemed to be casually making his social rounds all morning, getting in some MC with all PAX in attendance. Is that guy fazed by anything?

Genuinely an honor to lead at this AO. I hope the beatdown was sufficient.

Thank you for the keys, @Chomper. I think I dropped them in that massive puddle on the backside of the track.
