Bird Hole Guest Q’s at Wednesday’s Premier Workout

QIC: Bird Hole (F3 Charlotte)

PAX: Root Canal, Roos, Chisel, Razzie, Swiss Miss, Manscape, Light Brigade, Mr. Hand, Glazer, Klingon (FNG), The Vig, Mutton, Cherry Pie, Buehler?, Lite Brite, Breaker, Fokker, Bird Hole (QIC) and Juice Box (FO).

Today’s lead was a privilege for me as a guest Q. I have posted in 20+ F3 Winston workouts (Conspiracy, Urban Assault, The Other Guys, Outcast (Rest In Peace !!!!; retired 10/18/17)), The Rock Quarry and Mayhem). I have received lots of great pain and fellowship….it was time to give it back to 19 pax on a cool Triad morning.

My goals were exploration and pusharama…let’s see how we did:

THE THANG

COP

• 20 SSH
• 10 Merkins
• 20 Imperial Walkers (a/k/a Imperial Stormtroopers in WS)
• 20 Mountain Climbers
• 20 Abe Vigodas

Figure 8 – Partner Up and mosey 72 inches toward playground. From bottom of steps, partner 1 bear crawls up stapes and around while partner 2 runs loops around playground. Meet and do 20 LBC’s. Partners switch routes and the repeat.

Hit The Medium Slope – Run up West end Boulevard for hill work on Pilot View Street. Doing 7’s, partners run up street for 7 squats and then down for 1 partner decline merkins (partner planks while other partner does merkins with feet on back).  Repeat decreasing squats until 1 and increasing merkins until 7.

Bleacher Blast: Run down Reynolda, with mini-vacay with knee raises, and across bridge to baseball field bleachers:

• 20 dips
• 15 derkins
• 20 incline merkins
• 20 dips

Ferris Wheel: Run on school side of park to open grass for pointed pusharama. Gather in center of field (loose ball-to-man) and then 20 yards for called merkins; return to center. Head in another direction for next called merkin. 20 each:

• Stagger Right
• Stagger Left
• Diamonds

Run on path up from tennis courts to The Patio adding backward run and carioca along the way.

Carousel:  Circle up to do 3 called exercises (10 each), rotate 5-7 yards to the right and repeat 3 times

• Round 1: Knee jumps, Carolina Drydocks, and Apollo Ohnos
• Round 2: Star jacks, plank jacks, SSH

720: As a bonus, we did a two 360 walking pushups.

COT: Count-a-rama, Name-a-rama, announcements, FNG naming (welcome Klingon! and take-out by QIC.

Naked Moleskin:

Objective 1: Exploration – In all my posts at Conspiracy, all have been around Intimidator and track. I am sure the pax has travelled to other places far and near but decided to explore the far side of the park. Mission accomplished

Objective 2: Pusharama –I had been on vacation the previous week and ran on the beach only, so needed some upper body work. By my count, we had 149 merkins plus assorted plank positions. Maybe not a huge number for Mr. Hand, but mission accomplished.

Sans Intimidator: My last two posts were up and all over this double Diamond ski slope, so I gave me and all a break with a medium grade.  Don’t she a tear though…..Am sure many Q’s will rediscover the Big I.

FO: Not sure if this is in the Lexicon or not and too lazy to look it up. We missed Juice Box for last 10 minutes since he was First Out. Not a LIFO or a FIFO… just a FO.

The Gloom Rules: Truth be known, I scouted for the Q in the non-glom, so had to adjust when complete blackness reigned this AM. Giving a nod to safety, I left out some of the terrain that is in my perfect plan.  Will add it next time is a full moon or daylight savings adjustments.

Good Grief: I would like to add some fun things that was said and one by the pax today. But even with 20+ posts here I can’t recognize voices, quirks, and general ribbing (i.e the inside jokes) very well. Will try to do better next time.

It did pick up it is 365 days to someone’s birthday. Guess my invitation to the grand recent soiree to celebrate his recent national holiday got lost in the mail to Charlotte.

Klingon: F3 Winston and F3 Nation celebrate the coming of age of Stephen Kingsley (Fredericksburg, Va) to Klingon. In typical F3 fashion, it is somewhat hard to figure how we got there. I did get using Kingsley to project the name Ghandi (close 2^nd choice). But I so  do not getting using Kingsley to extrapolate to Obi Wan Kenobi. Or then the suggestion that Ben Kingsley was on Star Trek (he wasn’t; many pardons to Patrick Stewart). But that seemed to get all roiled up about Klingon, so the folly of F3 naming lives on. Blessed be your name Klingon!!

FNG Challenge: I am winning. At least that’s what I am told. I have brought 7 former FNG’s (Tiny, Peffercorn, Klingon, Mayberry, Empty Saddle, Renaldo and Gator) to F3 Winston. True…only 3 actually live in the area but I don’t either. So there.

I will give you massive credit for nurturing Starfish and making him a national expansion pax leader.

Anyway, hope y’all keep up the great work in serving and building the terrific pax here and across the nation.

Twas a blessing to be with you and a blessing to give back a bit today. I will add to latter a bit at the Urban Assault paz this Friday (10/27)…come one come all and bring lots of FNG’s.
