The Flu has been weighing heavily on YHC’s mind ever since Thursday when my 6 year old 2.1 tested positive for Type A influenza. My M came down with it on Saturday, and my 14 month old 2.3 tested positive for it on Sunday. So it’s been a long, not too fun weekend. And what a better way to forward my frustration on how the FLU spreads and repeats itself everywhere, then a painful repeating beatdown!

Fin!
CoT
- Prayer request fit YHC’s family who is currently battling the flu, and that those sick get better, and those not don’t catch it.
- YHC took us (from the outer fringe of the circle), giving thanks for the rain, asking that this be a start to a great week, lifting up those struggling with addiction, our men and women in the military, and our nation’s leaders.
NMM
- The PAX clearly didn’t recall my tweet yesterday, as there was some confusion when we repeated our warm up exercises.
- Kudos to @ToeTag and @Hedwig who ran an EC 5k pre-Beatdown, and also to @Zima did some sort of EC beforehand
- Great to see @Sleeper again who continues his hot streak upon returning 3 weeks ago.
- @TPS has been going strong ever since his first a few months ago, looking strong brother!
- The PAX put in strong work this morning, it was very chest and shoulder heavy. From the 1.75 miles we travelled, we got in ~100 inclined merkins total, ~50 broad jump burpees, and ~250 yards of bear crawls; and then we finished it off with 110 merkins and 200 LBCs (ran out of time for the last 20 set) during Merry Mary.
- @Zima gave a suggestion of using “I-N-F-L-U-E-N-Z-A” for an acronym to get some variety after the second round… but YHC wasn’t feeling too creative after caring for the sick family all weekend.
- @Hedwig unleashed some ridiculously fast, super bear crawl upon this morning. He was literally flying around twice as fast as YHC’s fastest attempt. He could give the infamous @Proehl bear crawl a run for its money. He said his secret was “T-Rex Arms”?
- @TPS found it more interesting to follow me during the Urchin… I didn’t like it because the dude was moving so fast, I felt like I was slowing him down!
- @ToeTag is quite the jokester, always saying “Thanks for lying!” when words of encouragement are given… his “I used to not be able to run a quarter mile” story was brought up by the PAX this morning sometime after word was mentioned of an upcoming Ultra later this year (I think).
- A subset of us ran an extra lap after CoT to get to an even 2 miles on the morning, at the beginning of which @Sleeper commented something along the lines of “Ya’ll are going to kill me.” I’ve heard that before!
- Thanks for the keys @RedEye, sorry you couldn’t make it this morning!

Spamalot
What kind of nonsense is this? Holy crap. Looks positively awful, as it should. Hope the family feels better soon!
Toe Tag
You are correct Spamalot, it was brutal. YHC was certainly feeling the war daddy status this am.
Yes the stories are true, YHC is now able to run (mostly) much farther than when starting F3. There was talk of trying to do the pilot to hanging rock event with Road Apple, Moonlight and Drano Pretty sure that those guys will drag yhc along on the 50 mile jaunt to make up for the fact that Moonlight struck out in the Leadville lottery this year.
Great beat down today despite the illness at the Van Gogh house. Let’s hope that he doesn’t take inspiration from other maladies in the future
Really good to see everyone this am and TPS was kind enough to hang back with YHC.
Sleeper said that this was the good kind of peer pressure this am. That is a very true statement about F3 in general. Thank you all for pulling me and pushing me along

I’ve had myalgias all day. My shoulders, arms, legs, everything. It all hurts. YHC was beaten into submission by VG this morning. This counts for 5 F3 posts this week. Thanks for the leadership, VG!
