THAT THANG:

YHC received an “SOS” from @Tuco at about 7:40PM on Monday seeking a #SubstiQ for Tuesday’s #RedLine.  Unsure of YHC’s own desire to redline, but eager to help-a-brother-out… I looked into the bag of tricks… found two options… and decided at 0526 on Tuesday which option the pax would get.

7 pax got Plan A – a trip to RUNnymede – appropriately named for a Redline visit, and it went something like this…

  • SSH (in cadence) in Y parking lot
  • Mosey to corner of NW/Reynolda – Hillbillys ; Abe Vigodas (IC)
  • Mosey to front of Bryson Gym – Imperial Walkers; Whirly w/ Clap (IC)
  • Mosey to Runnymede – High Knees; Butt-Kickers; Apollo Creed L/R; Power Skips

 

  • From bottom of Runnymede – Backpedal to Springdale (watch for cars and potholes)
    • OMAHA! Just run (forward) to Springdale!  [Back-pedaling an awful idea]

 

  • Total initial mosey = ~1.2mi

[At any point, when waiting on six, can lassie or mountain climb]

 

  • 1 (small) loop around Runnymede/Springdale (.25mi+)
  • 2 (small) loops around Runnymede/Springdale (.25mi each) (.5+ total)
  • Mosey to bottom

 

  • 1 (middle) loop around Runnymede/Springdale/Hawthorne (.6mi+)
  • 2 (middle) loops around Runnymede/Springdale/Hawthorne (.6mi each) (1.2 total)

 

  • 1 (big) loop around Runnymede/Hawthorne (.8mi+)
  • 2 (big) loops around Runnymede/Hawthorne (.8mi each) (1.6 total)

 

  • Mosey to Hawthorne/Northwest

 

  • Sprint down Reynolda to front of Bryson Gym (.25mi)
  • Finish strong from Bryson Gym back to Y Parking lot (via Northest>Hawthorne>Glade>Sunset) (.65mi+)
  • FIN!

 

  • Total Mileage: ~4.4mi

COT:

YHC took the pax out… thanking Him for the pax… seeking His wisdom to use F3 to be the men He wants us to be…

NMM:

  • Not much mumbelchatter – other than some mutterings about the mountain climbers when ‘resting’ (a la #Flatline)
  • Strong work by the pax!
  • Running backwards up RUNnymede is a bad idea for multiple reasons including: (A) potholes, (B) it’s a lot longer than you think, and (C) potholes.
  • Always an honor to lead!
