Today’s workout was a loose take on the now famous “Total Recall Live”, but without the requests and without the jovial and smiling face of one @TotalRecall.
It consists of two exercises, x10 reps (or however many you want) each, over and over again until the associated song is over. After the song is over, we run a lap. Pretty simple. So, here are the details…
Start with some standard Warm-o-rama
Rockin’ to the Sweaties:
Ring of Fire by Social Distortion
- Side raises
- Front raises
Run lap
We Will Rock You (Fast Version – live from Tokyo, 1982) by Queen
- Shoulder Press
- Single-arm Swing
Run lap
- Upright Row
- “Regular” (2-arm) Swing
Run lap
- Curls
- Skull Crushers
Run lap
- Chest Press
- Sit Ups (with weight)
Run lap
Best of Both Worlds by Van Halen
- Lunges
- Squats
Run lap
Flying High Again by Ozzy Osbourne
- Russian Twist
- Low Flutter
Plank for 1/2 minute, and we’re done!
YHC took us out.
Announcements & COT:
- Convergence on Wed 7/4 at 7:00am somewhere; watch Twitter for details
- @Cobra needs Q’s for #BnW; sign up! It’s a blast!
- @Closer’s wife is having issues with kidney pains (possibly kidney stones); please lift up prayers for them
- A colleague of @LightBrigade and YHC, Hugh Wilkins, passed away yesterday from brain cancer; please lift up prayers for his family
- YHC arrived to find @Bluto, @Closer, and @TSC already there and running; @Cobra was also there, but not clear if he had been running, as well; @Bluto, @Closer, and @TSC were pretty sweaty; @Cobra was his usual calm, cool, and collected self
- Kind of a quiet group this morning; an obvious sign that @BAM was not there…
- The single-arm shoulder work demands that you be judicious about the weight you choose; YHC was struggling even with his little wimpy plastic “kettle bell”
- Lots of fun working out with this fine group of men this morning; thanks for they keys, @Cobra!
Aye!
