YHC got there bright and early to find Greenspan and Lite Bright mulling around the parking lot, looking confused, I think they were wanting to go into the Panera for a nice leisurely coffeeteria – they were not so lucky. As the minutes passed, the parking lot filled, and by 0530, 10 PAX had assembled to see what was in store. Much to their surprise, we would spend very little time in the large, flat, safe, minimally trafficked parking lot. Instead we would spend the majority of our time on the busy thoroughfare of Miller st, dodging traffic as we ascended and descended its formidable hills.

The first lap was completed as a group to allow proper explanation, clarification, and demonstration. Subsequent laps were completed at your own pace, but the group stayed largely together. 3.2 laps in total were completed, according to mapmyrun this is just under 2 miles and 347 feet of elevation gain. I don’t have a fancy watch so I cannot confirm this with real time data.

Seemed like everyone hated the workout, mission accomplished. I almost felt bad for Zima running the Bear tonight, almost.

Announcements:

• Shmedfest 8/25 – have eclipsed the corporate fundraising goal of $25k. I hear that you should drink beer on Tuesdays now as well
• Thistle is manning a water station at Beat the Heat 5k and needs volunteers to help provide water for elite runners and runners. 7/21
• Bear run up grandfather mountain tonight
• Qs needed for IS. Mutton stepped up for this Saturday!

Prayer Requests:

• Cherry Pie’s friend’s wife dealing with depression and eating disorder, now in a treatment center in Denver
• Muttons friend from college had a heart attack and passed away
• FHE (Forsyth Home Educators – sports group) had a treasurer get caught embezzling money from the group. Prayers for the group and the former treasurer.
• YHC’s family member in an addiction treatment program. Keep also my siblings as relationships are strained.

YHC took us out, giving thanks for what we have and asking for help with what we need.
