Don’t Q what you can’t do!
Don’t Q what you can’t do at OG’s and Tractors!
Q: BAM

In the years of existence of the Other Guys, YHC has always proudly claimed Tractor status. Regularly watching pax start with Tractors/Square Wheels, then moving up and out to the OG’s, and lapping YHC in the process.
So, when tapped to create routes for OG’s and Tractors, the refrain, don’t Q what you can’t do popped in YHC head. If there was ever a time to do an OG route, this would be it.
Setting a goal of 10 min pace, blistering I know, YHC launched at 0515. Assuming it would be a solo launch, was surprised when all these other pax left at the same time. Immediately doubted my timing, that YHC had launched too late!
The only MC that was heard was when pax passed the QIC. Always encouraging! Of course, being a non-running, YHC accidentally lied to Beverly on how many miles had be covered when he went flying by. YHC realized the error and tried to shout it out, but he was too far ahead. Didn’t feel too bad, it was Beverly after all, #runfordays.
YHC made it back right on time, pace 9:50, distance 6 miles. That would be the longest run in 46 years for YHC. (and technically the fastest). In the ISI department, to run that far, by myself, with no music is a big deal for somebody who dislikes running and is easily distracted. I regularly heard in my head the encouragement of the pax, which made it possible.
No guarantees I’ll ever run OG’s again, but have run it once more than I ever thought I would. Thank you!

THAT.IS.AWESOME!
YHC did comment to Mongoose that you had good running form. #TClaps to you and Sour Mash both for stepping out of your comfort zone.
Beverly
It was lost on YHC that this was your first OGs. You had me fooled, so good work!
BAM
Odds would be that somebody hanging around as long as me would have done it once!
