As the gloom lifted on a grey Saturday morning at Speas Elementary, 10 PAX gathered to welcome @Drano’s 2.0 @ScrubbingBubbles and a fellow PAX from Durham @RichardSimmons. • Shmedfest 8/25; field-day workout @ Dixie Classic Fairgrounds in the morning, all family members welcome (Winmars! play at 5:00pm)
  • @TotalRecall & his M are expecting their 3rd child in Feb, 2019
  • On a very sad note, our dear brother @Hoser took his life this past week after a long battle with depression; please pray for his family
  • Everyone pushed hard today; it was humid and warm, but it’s always a cheerful group with @TR around
  • @ScrubbingBubbles is fast like his old man @Drano; he could definitely outrun YHC
  • Great to have @RichardSimmons join us from F3 Durham; when he told me his name, it didn’t click and I said “Hi Richard! What’s your F3 name?”
  • The playlist today was pretty much the same as the one from #BnW from a few weeks ago; promise to put a new one together soon
  • Enjoyment to be working out with this great group of guys; thanks for the keys @TR!

Aye!

P.S. You never know what a pat on the back, a smile, or word of encouragement can do for someone. Keep on supporting, encouraging, EH’ing, etc. to reach out to each other. Each of us brings something to the table that makes this group unique. We may never know what the guy next to us might be going through, but we can always reflect some light.

P.P.S. I would also like to say that even though my interactions with @Hoser were few, he was always a most kind and encouraging person. The first time I met him was when I ran the Misteltoe 5K for the first time in 2014. It was my first “race” ever and I was quite nervous. Even though he was in much better shape and a much better runner, he ran with me for the first part of the race, which I greatly appreciated and never forgot. To me he was a kind, generous, humble, and gentle person. I look forward to seeing him again in Heaven. Until that great day, may he rest in peace.

True words throughout B.B., especially the end.
