UA – Partner-theme was a huge hit

Sorry for the very late BB, so I will make it short and sweet.  Actually, the theme of this beatdown had been on my heart, so with good intentions, I drew up this plan.  I only got to partially complete the BOMBS burpee section, so there is a good start for my next UA Q.

Warm-a-rama – each exercise for a quantity of 30 – there was serious debate I could count that high.  I did not sleep well the night before this Q, so I was kinda a jacked-up Q.  Guess it showed as the MC got going early when the # of Warmarama reps were deemed excessive – why is this so invigorating for the Q?  Only encouraged the Q to continue and throw in the Bear Crawl to finish the warm-up.

Mosey time:  The rest of our “exercises” were done to emphasize the need for a partner.  We all did more than we could have alone.  I made up a few of these for fun.

  1. Inmar parking lot–30 Partner Booyah Hand Release Merkins
  2. Clark Funeral Home– 30 Partner H2H – touch partner’s hands with your feet
  3. Clark Funeral Home– 30 Partner – Squeaky Bed Dolly – it’s kinda complicated
  4. Carpet Warehouse – 30 Partner – Use ledge of loading dock for Leg throw down
  5. Carpet Warehouse – 50 Partner – WW2 Sit ups with your partner holding your legs as you suspend yourself off the loading dock
  6. Nascar Museum – 30 Partner – Dying Cockroach
  7. Nascar Museum – 30 Partner burpee w/ hand release merkin — Big crowd pleaser – I think I heard some PAX say how much they enjoyed this one
  8. Wiseman Brewery — Partner – BOMBS
    1. 50 Burpees — Had to stop after burpees to mosey back to Bailey Park, so from here on is saved for next time.  Yahoo!
    2. 100 OH Claps
    3. 150 Merkins – narrow to wide
    4. 200 Big Boy Sit Ups
    5. 250 Squats
  9. Wall – 30 Partner – Wall sit with partner dip
  10. Wall – BTTW and walk
  11. New Bethel Baptist — Partner – 30 High Flutter and Low Flutter
  12. Union Baptist — Partner – Dora 123
    1. 100 Burpees
    2. 200 Merkins
    3. 300 Low Flutters
  13. Fiddlin’ Fish – Line of Planks till 6 arrives

So much to do, but so little time.  Got back to Bailey Park on time for COT.

Shmedfest was Saturday – thanks, Plunger! – Convergence happened — Note to self, never workout with FiA again!

So the Partner theme was reinforced by reading of the following:

The people we surround ourselves with either raise or lower our standards. They either help us to become the-best-version-of-ourselves or encourage us to become lesser versions of ourselves. We become like our friends. No man becomes great on his own. No woman becomes great on her own. The people around them help to make them great.
We all need people in our lives who raise our standards, remind us of our essential purpose, and challenge us to become the-best-version-of-ourselves.
