5th Anniversary Convergence
On 05 Jan 2019, a Pax of 98 gathered at Hanes Park at the site of the original F3 workout in the Dash back on 04 Jan 2014. We gathered to workout, to see old friends, to make new ones, to welcome an FNG, to say “Kotters” to men we have missed, to remember and honor those who gave us F3, and to celebrate.

NMM
- Age range of 57 years between WB Chit Chat and WD Cousin Roy. There were four Double Respects.
- T-Claps to THE Mick for bringing four youngsters.
- Temps at mid-40s were nice, and there was no rain, but the ground was soaked throughout. Our on-site reporter said that Education Hill was nearly unclimbable by the time the last group came through. Disclaimer was in play, as Spam fell and was composing a letter to his lawyers at Coffeeteria — wait, Spam is a lawyer.
- Great display of shovel flags today, even one with lights. If you took home the Parliament flag, please let site Q Sgt. Schultz know.
- Warmorama had the expected amount of MumbleChatter but went moderately well. And yes, for the record, merkins are a warm-up exercise.
- T-Claps to Sgt Schultz for taking the time to prepare the sandbag grinder and for getting in a second workout at the end by carrying them all back to the long jump pit and emptying them. If only the Q of the last group there had been thoughtful enough to have his group carry them back at 0751.
- By contrast, the last group at Education Hill was kind enough to load the bricks and limbs back on BAM’s truck.
- In Group 2 at the benches, it was fun to watch Zima and Francis push each other in front of most of the rest of us.
- We all were honored to have a large group of visiting pax from Greensboro, Lexington, Burlington (and maybe others). The names of some of those guys are great. For example: Five Dollar Footlong, Handsome Joe, and Don’tChaKnow.
- YHC was familiar with Wojo’s ‘floor’ slapping routine during Nameorama, but was not ready for Wicked bending down and slapping my calf — but I have to admit I liked it a little. Disturbing.
- Best announcement of his name (IMHO) was by The Vig’s 10-year old son, The Rake — loud and proud.
- Kotters to several guys who hadn’t posted in a while. We missed you; come on back!
- Due to time, we did not ask for prayer requests, but keep several Pax in prayer as they recover from injury/pain. And keep Boo Boo’s BIL and family in your prayers.
- Welcome former FNG Yoga Ball whose job at Novant may or may not be related to physical training. We are not sure what a Yoga Ball is, but that makes the name all the better. T-Claps to Zuckerberg for inviting him.
- Thanks to Katniss for taking photos and thanks to all the Pax who serve by being site Qs, workout Qs, tech/website gurus, Twitter Czars, 2nd and 3rd F Qs, and past and present Nantans — though our most recent past Nantan skipped this party and flew to Florida.
- And great job by 1st F Q, BAM, in organizing and administering the workout for nearly 100 guys of all ages and abilities.
It was an honor to be with you all today and to stand along side BAM and Sgt Schultz in leading the proceedings.
Peace to you all,
Burlap

Tclaps to the tri-fecta Qs this AM. Was great to see some old heads, and new(er) faces alike.
Hard to believe this thing launched 5 years ago. But make no mistake – we are all better because of F3. Let’s keep this ride going. And let not the mission of F3 escape us – invigorating male leadership within the community. Words to live out in our everyday lives – not just during the 45-60 minutes each morning.

Great to have so many guys out this morning! Appreciate the support, push and accountability of each PAX. TClaps to the three headed Q!
Hazer
Awesome work coordinating this amazing morning! Blood was flowing upon arrival and seeing so many Pax filling the parking lot. Workouts were strong and great to reconnect with some guys I hadn’t seen in a while as well as met a few new ones.
5 Years goes by fast. I echo the words of Cobra – let’s love out the F3 mission in our daily lives and make our families and communities stronger because we were a part of it. Aye!
Spamalot
Great time this morning. TClaps to our brothers from other regions for coming out to help us celebrate. Had a mini-Boilermaker reunion with Hoosier and Slushpuppy. #boilerup

Hey… Is this thing on? Been a while since I commented… YHC , Lamchop and Butter kept the judging to a minimum, but certainly were dishing out some super helpful critique! TClaps to all of the Q’s, and the leadership of this phenomenal region. What a great morning! Super appreciative of all of the F3 Nation, especially F3 Winston-Salem for creating environment where the wonderful fellowship and care of others can shine through. YHC appreciates you guys and am committed to be in the Gloom more in 2019.
