Merkin Monday @ The Outhouse
PAX: Greenspan, Thistle, Rust Bucket (WD), Wobegon, Root Canal, Bevo, Palin, Burns (WB, QIC)
Before I begin, I need to highlight three HIMs – Wobegon & Hoptoberfest for their willingness to help me move despite a major failure by the U-Haul facility, and Whirly for helping out once the U-Haul was obtained. Moving is never a fun task, and these three men made my life so much easier by offering a helping hand.
I spent all weekend lifting boxes and moving furniture and painting/destroying our new house, so I didn’t have time to concoct an elaborate scheme for this morning. In fact, I came up with the skeleton late last night and filled in the rest on the way to post. The only criteria I was tied to had been laid out in the pre-blast: a heavy does of merkins.

I had a blast with these men this morning. We all suffered together and pushed through with very few mumling/grumbling/etc. By my count, all PAX did at least 215 merkins. All 8 earned their afternoon naps.

Prayers for Greenspan’s father, starting his last cycle of chemo. Also prayers for my M’s grandmother, recently moved to hospice care. YHC took us out with gratitude for the day and the company, and with a specific request to comfort and shelter those in need in our city.
Greenspan, I don’t have anything witty to say about where the keys may have ended up today. My arms hurt too much to be clever.

Well done, brother. Creative was not necessary—what you did to us was “sufficient.”
