The slight occasional breeze was of little benefit for the young relaxed PAX that arrived for the Flatline this cloudy morn. With little fanfare, the beatdown began….

11 burpees….oh, let’s repeato…

11 burpees. Next we ambled to Corpening Plaza to hit the Four Corners for

11 merkins at the first corner, 11 merkins and 22 mountain climbers at the second corner, 11 merkins, 22 mountain climbers, 33 squats at the third corner, and 11 merkins, 22 mountain climbers,33 squats and 44 plank jacks at the fourth corner. Done, but why not unwind with the opposite…

11 merkins, 22 mountain climbers, 33 squats, and 44 plank jacks at the fourth corner, 11 merkins, 22 mountain climbers, 33 squats at the third corner, 11 merkins and 22 mountain climbers at the second corner, and 11 merkins at the first corner.

We moseyed up the steps to the reflecting pool for my favorite routine……

In cadence,

10 dips, 10 urkins, 10 Peter Parkers, and 10 Mike Tysons in the up position, then

10 dips, 10 merkins, 10 Peter Parkers, and 10 Mike Tysons on the ground, then

10 dips, 10 derkins, 10 Peter Parkers, and 10 Mike Tysons in the down position. All of this is done with no transitions, just go. From here we moseyed to the parking deck for the new fad, the Van Gogh deconstructed burp ups…

11 merkins, 11 Wojo’s, 11 burpees, 11 pull ups, but only 5 burp ups (it was a time thing). We moseyed to the top of the parking deck for the partnered up Dora 1-2-3…

100 merkins, 200 Freddie Merc’s, and 300 squats. Moseyed back to the start for a modified Gross where we did 11…..

merkins, sqats, low flutters, diamond merkins, lunges, WW II sit ups, ranger merkins, monkey humpers, Big O’s, and wide merkins. Once again, a time thing.

Van Gogh and his contingent are heading to Grandfather Mountain Thursday for The Bear(Yuck!). Five Dollar is getting married (Sweet), but still recovering from neck injury from several months ago (again, yuck!). Encouragement for all of us when we view the surpassing glory of Him who does a lot of his best work in the dark.

Great to meet Lazy Boy who is anything but that. Palin and Van Gogh view today as another day in paradise as they breezed on through. Five Dollar did the lionshare of the 1-2-3 Dora with me, thanks. Pinto kept smiling and stubbornly pursuing throughout this fine beatdown. The H.O.G. has become firmly ensconced as an elite member. What a cool group of HIMS this morning.
