YHC has regretted not posting the BB within 24-hours before and am now regretting it again. So much of the rich detail and colorful conversation is lost in the cobwebs inside the sieve that is my mind. Alas, better late than never, here is the BB from IS. As far as YHC remembers, it was a fairly pleasant day, the MC was fun spirited and jovial, and everyone got their money’s worth.

WoR: SSH, IW, Whirly, AV, FAC, RAC

Mosey one lap around the track and to the pull-up bars for some partner work:

  • pullups x10 while partner holds BTTW, flapjack
  • hanging leg raise x10 while partner holds Al Gore, flapjack
  • Reverse grip pullup x10 while partner holds low plank, flapjack

Repeato, with 7 reps

Mosey to the tractor tires and divide up into 2 teams. Team performs called exercise, team member members rotate through giving the tire one flip.

Given the choice, the PAX chose hill work, wanting to explore the heights of Brookstown.  The Q abides.

Partner up, P1 performs exercise while P2 runs to a jeep parked on the street and back, flapjack.

A PAX requested supine pullups on the swings, the Q abides. Partner up, P1 does supine pullups x10, P2 does step ups. flapjack. 2-3 rounds in total

Announcements:

  • FNG Vincent Springs was the recipient of the mosey by EH while out for a leisurely stroll around the park. Though we were on our way back for Mary, he joined us for the CoT, so it counts. He tried to use his nickname of Mac in name-o-rama, so YHC took it sideways to Peterbuilt. From the Davidson county area, Navy vet, divorcee (about to remarry), recently relocated to WS.
  • FNG Dave Wainwright is a teacher at Reynolds, teaches social studies and AP psych, ballroom dancer, recent trip to England where he met a German girl with whom he traveled to NY to meet her family. Lamb chop is not to be trusted when introducing his FNG’s. Several dancing references were thrown out, most of which YHC did not recognize so the we followed the German reference and ended with schnitzel.
  • potential FNG Troy was having tummy troubles and did not post.
  • Shmedfest – 8/24 with convergence at 7am, party at 4pm. Great times and a great cause.

Mumblechatter:

  • Flutter is in town from Beaufort but has a home in WS so we expect to see him often
  • Blue steel showed up in blue jeans on his Harley. It’s a shame he’s such a nerdy looking guy
  • Great to have Blossom back with us today
  • As we mosey’d back from Brookstown, Buyout casually turned and ran up to the front door of a house. Fortunately, that’s where he and Blossom bunk. Still don’t understand why he’s always late…
  • Peterbuilt got the EH by the swings. YHC gave him the spiel. He wasn’t sold on the workout, but said he could definitely use the prayer.
