About F3 Winston-Salem
F3 stands for Fitness, Fellowship and Faith. F3 Winston-Salem is part of a national network of free, peer-led workouts. After reading about our mission, core principles, and history below; check out our FNG resource to learn what you need to know before posting for your first workout!
Mission Statement
It is important to remember that F3 is more than being just about fitness. This is why our mission statement is often repeated at the start of every workout:
“To plant, grow, and serve small workout groups for men for the invigoration of male community leadership.”
5 Core Principles
All F3 Winston-Salemworkouts should be designed around the core principles of F3 Nation:
1) Free of charge.
2) Open to all men.
3) Held outdoors; rain or shine, heat or cold.
4) Led by peers in a rotating fashion.
5) Ends with a Circle of Trust.
History
Our origin can be traced back to 2006 where a free, participant-led bootcamp style workout was held on Saturday mornings in a Charlotte, N.C., park. A group of men took that idea (with permission), and launched the first official F3 workout on 1/1/11, on the campus of A.G. Middle School in Charlotte. The Charlotte group then planted F3 Winston-Salem on Saturday, January 4th, 2014 @ 0700 at Hanes Park, which still meets weekly today. Since our launch date, over 500 men have participated in an F3 Winston-Salem workout.
