BRR Test Run at First Gear

Today’s First Gear was dedicated to all of us who hate running 1st St. It is as brutal of a stretch as some legs of BRR due to the gradual climb, undulating hills, and length. With less than a month to go before the Main Event, YHC thought 1st Street would be a good test.

• Gather at First Street Draft House.
• Run on First towards downtown to Broad St.
• Turn around and run the other direction up to 5 Points.
• Repeat as time allows.

Most pax completed two full circuits (about 5.5 miles).

YHC took us out.

Announcements:

• Shmedfest is 8/27 from 4-10 at Triad Park in K-Vegas. Plunger promises no rain this year.
• BRR Beat the Heat Vol. 2 will be tomorrow afternoon (8/16), launching from Lowe’s Foods Robinhood. YHC has posted an 8 mile and 5 mile route on Twitter. The plan is to finish by 18:45. YHC will be launching at 17:30, hope to see you there.

NMM:

• The pax seemed to “enjoy” this route, in that it was a good BRR test run. Thanks for the positive feedback.
• Beast Lite made his first-ever appearance at First Gear and killed it. He’s a grinder.
• Scab is taking this BRR thing seriously. Strong work, brother. Mockingbird, who?
• Good to see Snappy back out after an injury. Apparently swimming makes you faster. Dude dusted us all and even gave Walter White a run for his money on Lap 1.
• Glazer was all smiles and very appreciative before, during, and after the workout.
• 30% of the pax this morning were native West Virginians and, as far as I know, none of us are related. Bluto, we missed you.
• Ramses was back and didn’t miss a beat after his extended injury rehab last week.
