We had lots of things to celebrate this morning at Parliament. It’s this AO’s 11th anniversary (congrats and #Tclaps, @DramaQueen). It’s Wake Forest Baseball’s Home Opening Day. And it’s also Fat Tuesday aka Mardi Gras. Mardi Gras was the easiest milestone to build a playlist around and since it’s all about the tunes, that is…
When I was asked to Q Parliament, I was excited to lead a group of men for a block only, no running beatdown. Prepped and ready to go, mother nature had other plans. The twist part of this Parliament beatdown was it was held at Village Idiocy without any blocks. So what other workout did…
14 Pax showed up for the first Parliament of 2026 on not too cold but very foggy morning. After formalities and some warmorama, we got our blocks and got to it. 4 corners of 11’s went like this: Center – 5 burpees before each corner; block push to corner Corner 1 – 1 curl, 10…
During Tonka’s most recent beatdown at Alcatraz, as we were doing painful increasing reps of exercises, YHC asked if he ever did the Fibonacci beatdown. He answered in the negative. YHC quickly learned he had the Q at Parliament after reading the backblast on aforementioned beatdown. The numbers sure aligned here. In the Preblast, YHC…
YHC had they keys to #Parliament this AM. Knowing I had missed a beatdown yesterday, I wanted to inflict pain mainly on me. Turns out that turned outwards to others #Cobains. YHC spent his Monday an all-day, company-wide townhall. If you didn’t know, cigarettes sell themselves allowing the workers to be focused on partying and…
Not an overly creative workout this AM the start of YHC’s birthday, but hey might as well start the next year doing something that gets the heart rate up, right! The numbers in play were 12, 9, 19 and 61. Warmarama: 12 Imperial Walkers, 9 SSH’s 19 Whirlies and 61 of various arm exercises (forward, backwards, OH and Michael Phelps) While the…
Darkness and cold. That is what greeted the 13 Pax this morning at the premier Tuesday AO. A clear sky allowed for excellent star gazing and plenty of opportunity to see an occasional meteor! This was YHC’s first Q since moving back three weeks ago from sunny Florida. What a good time to show…
Adobe and YHC have been scheming this top secret Q for a few weeks now. The stratagem was lay waste to the PAX with a terrible awful no-good beatdown, then spring the news, “tada here’s your new siteQ!” Half of the plan seemed to work. Most folks were surprised, but as always, the well seasoned…
After a crash free (barely!) journey out West to SW Elementary, YHC arrived to find a couple cars already waiting at 520a. Tonka had been running to warm up. Rain had stopped. More cars rolling in. Looking like yet another lucky F3 morning. All omens point to a good workout and social. A little chitchat…
Blind Date had scheduled his Q for this date before having to get unexpected hernia surgery recently, so YHC agreed to a last minute switch and had to rummage through a big stack of cardboard to find a suitable beatdown. Decided on a tabata workout, which we got to after a quick warm up. The…
Today would have been my dad’s 88th birthday. When @Adobe asked me several weeks ago to Q today, I jumped at the chance to honor my hero dad on his birthday. At the time I didn’t know that @Superfly was also going to plan his dad’s 92nd birthday celebration at Parliament two weeks ago. Fortunately,…
My dad passed away a little over a year ago. Today would have been his 92nd birthday so I put together a workout to remember the man who helped me become who I am today. After the formalities and some warmorama, we got our blocks and got to it. Here’s how it went: 10 burpees…
