Time move! Through some DM magic we decided to move the time up on High Life to 5:30 p.m., capturing maximum sun and enjoyment. Up to Hot Dish to keep it here during winter but I think the probability is high. I rolled in with he and Brown Bag shootin’ the bull, and we all…
Hey hi, time to live the High Life. Back off of IR/Life/Laziness, I saw that an AO that I really thought Dash-Strong could benefit from has had, uh, attendance issues. Well I’ll attend when possible from work travel from here on, but this was also a date open that coincides with me growing a year…
It had been a while since YHC posted in the dusk at #HighLife. But YHC had the Q and was joined by 3 other faithful lifers. YHC attended #Redline in the AM and wanted to keep the miles coming and devised a plan that would do that. Here is what we did: Warmarama: Standard Fare…
A hint of a breeze greeted YHC during the RIRO from Mi Casa across Miller Park for the double-down after getting my butt kicked by Resistor at Redline in the gloom. Upon arrival at launch, Hot Dish was found waiting, enjoying the AC of his new truck. He reluctantly emerged and remarked, “One of these…
2nd Q of the day, this one noticeably warmer than the first (but still pleasant enough!). Longer WoR this evening – SSH, Imperial Walkers, Whirlies, Abe Vs, Willie Mays Hays, Seal Claps, Jack Reachers, Michael Phelps. Mosey to the shaded picnic tables beside the upper softball field. YHC had a deck of cards and had…
The Thang The Tour moved under the lights for a special Casino Night edition of High Life. The evening began with a Buy-In EMOM consisting of: Merkins Big Boys Squats SSH Using a 45-second work / 15-second recovery format, the PAX completed three rounds through the rotation before heading to the casino floor. The main…
YHC took up the call to Q the premiere evening workout that happens on a Tuesday aka #HighLife What better way to celebrate Cinco De Mayo than working out – I mean margaritas and tacos are fun, but sweating and running around a park is much more my speed. Here is what we did: Warmarama:…
Getting a Q that falls on a holiday is a layup. Your theme is right there! So for the St. Paddy’s Day edition of the region’s best evening workout, YHC kept it simple: music from noted Irish rockers Thin Lizzy (you know them from their mega 1976 hit the ‘Boys Are Back In Town (featureing…
Arriving at Miller Park, 2/3 of the parking lot was covered in snow/ice (the first indication of danger!). YHC decided the best course of action was to Omaha over to Moore Elementary, where things were less icy (someone should use the school!). Once again – we determined it was too dangerous to run full laps,…
I have not made as many Tuesday evening workouts as I would like, but I always enjoy the AO and the company. Tonight, I was a bit late due to a Boy Scout Board meeting. As I pulled up, Brown Bag and Hot Dish were already there. After a few minutes of stretching and waiting…
5 Beasts joined me for the 2nd beatdown of the day for YHC. Sadly, no others partook in the must see double down. YHC was in a better mood than in the morning gloom – maybe because the temperature was about 15 degrees warmer! We kept it simple and it went like this: Warmarama: SSH…
This was not planned, unlike those weeks when Zima likes to take as many as is alienly possible. YHC was incredulous when Frostbite texted on Sunday, “You have a double-down Q on Tuesday.” SMH. A quick look at the Google calendar confirmed the Nantan’s words. What in the world?! Who’s in charge here? Redline…
