Monday bootcamp at Sherwood Forest Elementary, born 01/04/2021.
YHC pulled into the lot, seeing plenty of cars and a small circle filled with a couple of familiar faces and several I’ve not yet met, including an FNG. Which means this RESPECTable Q had to bring…if not his A game, at least his solid B game. It went like this, after a standard WOR….
Warmarama: Normal, starting with deep Asian squat + calf raises, SSHs, Abe Vigodas, Whirlies, Up/Down Dawgs, World’s Greatest Stretch, Hammies, Cherrie Pies The Thang: Mosey to bus lot and retrieve a block. YHC scouted out the track for moisture and found it…muddy. So, line up at top end of bus lot with your block. Perform…
A little humid but a near perfect morning at the Iron Throne at Sherwood to work up a sweat with friends, and even make new friends! Turned on my bag o’ music with the sounds of the Allman Brothers. Lambchop arrived early since he had to leave early. 🤷♂️😊 Followed soon by the rest of…
Following an innocuous preblast promising upper body and core focus, four other pax joined YHC to start their week off on the Iron Throne. Chattering began as soon as Boomerang and Palin arrived asking where the music was. Boomerang was still chapped that Burns didn’t bring music to TRQ last Thursday. The pax were promised…
YHC was prepping for the final Marchliament Madness and had a few ideas to test out at Iron Throne. One of them ended up making the cut. All four men present were beasts for this call back beatdown taking place at The Wall on the field. The Wall was early on inspiration for initial Game…
As Greenspan says, “At 60 (degrees), no need for sleeves.” The Greens agree. YHC did a slow shuffle from home to Sherwood. Arrived to 2 cars but no guys yet. Soon Greenspan and Palin came sprinting in from their EC run. Joining in the next few minutes were Chisel, Wobegon, Tammy, and Boomerang. Time to…
Nothing rhymes with Iron Throne like Iron PAX. YHC dug through the archive to get a well rounded suck for the PAX awaiting at Sherwood Forest Elementary and came across 2019 week 3 – Meter’s 43. Perfect. It’s one of the workouts from the early days since (as Zima was surprised to see) it included…
YHC arrived after a slow mosey to Sherwood to see cars of EC runners already parked. Schlitz, Palin, and Greenspan soon came charging up at their 7 min/mile pace to join Chisel, Dr Toot, Boomerang, and Tammy. Tammy placed the shovel flag and we soon got to work. Warmarama: SSH, AV, Whirlies, Y-flies, arm circles,…
Venturing out more than a tenth of a mile on a Monday morning is a rare occurrence for YHC these days. The convenience of a great AO right across from my house is too much to pass up. And, y’know, site Q duties. However…Turnover offered a Q if I would take one at TIT back…
Freezing cold morning at The Iron Throne. I got the call from Tammy to Q and you know the Duck has a hard time turning down that opportunity especially since I was the former site Q. I had put up a magnesium lock to secure the coupons and so that it would not freeze. Coming…
Warm-O-Rama Mission Statement / 5 Core Principles Normal time wasters The Thang This being the 54th anniversary of the D B Cooper plane hijacking, let’s look to the Exicon for anything that fits. Oh look, there is one called The Cooper, that’ll do. Mosey to the blocks, take it to the basketball court. Start with…
A beautiful morning started early for most of us that planned to be at The Iron Throne today. 😄. We were six and wondering where our illustrious Q, The Singing Cowboy, could be. Our Nantan, not one to waste time, started Warmarama at 530 with F3 standards: SSH, Imp Walkers, Hillbillies, Abe V, Helicopters (well,…
