WeFoCo Thursday Bootcamp started by Sour Mash, officially named on 3/16/2017 after PAX vote. 100Proof was a close second.
Had whiskey on my mind this week so I wanted to share with some HIMs today at The Distillery. We enjoyed a few pours, some with ice (coupon), some neat (no coupon). After the Zima beatdown at Mayhem yesterday, I lightened up the running load and added some more coupon workouts. Today’s playlist was brought…
It was a dark, cold and windy morning in the gloomy gloom of #WeFoCo. Nelly and Cruiser were kind enough to answer the call of “Hey, if y’all are rolling in the morning, I need to leave about 10 minutes early to set up”. We made it to the Ole Still and were surprised to…
After accusations that an AI has been writing previous backblasts, I want to assure everyone this was written by a real human being with thumbs, emotions, and a questionable relationship with em dashes. 🥃 RISING PROOF — A Backblast About Growth, Burn, and Choosing to Be Here AO: The Distillery Date: December 18 Theme: Rising…
8 #HIMs joined me for a rinse and repeato style workout. We were all surprised to see @Turnover pull up right at 0530… and he wasn’t even wearing a heavy coat! YHC is basic in the way I construct workouts. I have found a method that is pretty easy to explain but can add different…
YHC sent out quite the challenging preblast to the DashPAX with fearsome metrics promised beckoning the bold among us. I wouldn’t say the goal was to scare off all the PAX and secure a nice coffee and breakfast for myself, but I wouldn’t say it wasn’t either. Good thing Distillery has an established AAO (Alternate…
YHC had been trying to decipher Adobe’s erudite and enigmatic preblast from a couple of weeks ago that had somehow led us to the second Distillery site nearby. There were a lot of numbers and equations which had YHC pull out his old college textbook before just letting grok do the explaining. Turns out we…
YHC had the keys to #TheDistillery on Thursday morn and had the pleasure of proctoring IPC Week 0 at this esteemed AO that has played host to this CSAUP national challenge for many years. The nice thing about having the Q during September and especially at an AO that is known to be the home…
After a Q swap with Adobe last week, YHC realized this would be the Thursday of the big opening weekend of college football. Since we often roll around on the ground and do some exercises that are reminiscent of football practices from days gone by YHC had to go with that for a theme. Upon…
Thursday morning was far too misty and chilly and gross for August. On top of that, YHC had done some polling the night before on a sample of the WEFOCO population and as the list of nos grew, he began to anticipate a sad clown beatdown for himself. The forecasted weather and the prospect of…
Have you ever planned a workout that ratchets up the 1st F a little more than normal, and as you’re driving to the AO you just start secretly hoping the parking lot is empty so that you can go home instead of putting yourself and your friends through the pain? Maybe you’ve thought, “Hey, this…
Well…I knew I was running behind this morning. ( Why does that snooze button even exist? With it’s soothing, loud-noise eliminating simplicity….doesn’t it know I needed to get up the first 4 times? ) Anywho, let’s get on the road. Pulled into Distillery this morning and the parking lot was MMMM—TT! Ghost town. We discussed…
The rules were simple; the pain was inevitable. The Thang Each PAX picked up a concrete block and gathered at the far end of the parking lot. This morning, 30 identical wooden blocks were arranged in a grid, facedown, each with a different exercise written on the underside. The workout began with PAX flipping over…
